A graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine, Dr. Verdolin has more than 10 years experience treating chronic pain. Dr. Verdolin completed an internal medicine internship at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in 1996. In 2001 he returned to Bethesda to train as a pain physician and to serve as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He was board certified in anesthesiology in 2001. Dr. Verdolin served abroad several times during his 15 years of military service, including deployment to the Baltic states of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the Arabian Gulf during the war in Iraq. He was honored with the Navy Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. He was accepted for a prestigious fellowship-training program in interventional pain management at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2003 and achieved subspecialty certification in interventional …pain management in 2004. In 2004, Dr. Verdolin became chief of Interventional Pain Management at Naval Medical Center, San Diego. During his tenure, he implemented a new spinal cord stimulator implantation program and treated Camp Pendleton Marines returning from deployment.
