Dr. Michael George Vranich, DO

I had emergency gall bladder surgery 2010. I'm glad I survived it but very disappointed the doctor used primitive method of sutures (etal clamps) which left severe and permanent keloid scar on stomach. Recovery was long and excruciating. Others I know who received same type surgery had completely different outcome whereas doctor used nylon . Doctors were much younger with modern practices.

Dr Vranich has been one of the best doctors I have had. He and his staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Being from South County and not knowing the area I was about 2 hours early for my appointment. I was taken almost immediately to an exam room where he explained what he was going to do and the outcome I could expect. He removed my gall bladder at Depaul Health Center. Both before and after surgery he was generally concerned and explained all aspects of the procedure. I would highly recommend him to any family or friends that would require his services.

Dr Vranich was super saw him on a referral from my primary. Scheduled an appt on Friday in office Monday had surgery that same week on Thursday. There was a little wait for first appt but he got people in & out fast. But I didn't feel like they were herding me like I was livestock. Doc was very thorough with my diagnoses & explained surgery & follow-up as well. Told me his history made me very comfortable as I had previous Dr let down issues. From my gastric bypass surgeon from right across the street at DePaul Hospital! Will use him again for any other surgeries that might arise for me or my family!

Outstanding doctor. Took care of my handicapped mother and he was kind and companionate . Did an excellent job and I would have him operate on me and every member of my family.

Was insulting and dismissive. Insisted that he didn't know for sure what was wrong and kept asking me what I wanted to do (I'm NOT a medical doctor). Generally I found him to be arrogant and uncaring.

Dr. Vranich was very caring, answered all my questions, even called my house when I had an allergic reaction to a medicine. I would recommend him to anyone and every one that needs surgery.

Dr. Vranich performed colon cancer on my mother in 2006 and I only have one word that best describes him....AWESOME!!
