Dr. Michael Jay Walts, MD

Dr Walts misdiagnosed the cause of my back pain. Refused to do any tests. I do have above excellent insurance. That shouldn't be a factor in care given, but does happen. Refused to treat pain. I went to a different Dr, Had xray same day. Results of xray lead to mri the following day. I had severe spinal stenosis with bone on bone nerve compression. New Dr put me on morphine for extreme pain I was experiencing until I could get in with spinal surgeon for a spinal fusion. Dr Walts was rude inconsiderate, did not listen to me. He showed no concern for pain level. This Dr should NOT be allowed to practice based on cruelty to patients. I had about 5 visits concerning back before changing drs. I would not recommend him to anyone. I would recommend staying far away from Dr Walts!!

I went in for tests on Monday with sever abdominal pain. Blood was drawn, and it is now Friday and I'm still waiting on lab results. He did schedule an ultrasound and called me back only after I called his office twice to find out the results. Then when the results of the ultrasound showed nothing wrong, he told me to take some mylanta...It's now Friday afternoon...I'm still in pain...no lab result for the last test we are waiting for...and he and his staff started the weekend at 1230. Unacceptable. Now I'll probably have to pay for an ER visit this weekend if the pain gets worse.
