Dr. Michael Aaron Wauters, MD

Recently I found out my main person I see is leaving soon and i told him i am very scared of dealing with new doctors then he told me about dr. Wauters. Just a week or so ago I had to call in for severe pelvic pain , and was seen by doctor waughters. He listened to everything I had to say, show real concern and his readiness to help me with this painful issue was just outstanding. I ended up in the er the another night and found out I had a cyst on my ovarie, very painful indeed. I ended up bbn leaving the hospital before they could tell me due to the fact they didn't treat me like a human being. So next morning I called and got a appointment with dr. Wauters and he sat down explained what my test results were and came up with a plan to keep me on the healthier track. His willingness to listen to not only me but my family's concerns means so much and it made my experience with a new doctor so much better.

Having moved to Washington last year, I was not expecting much choice or quick access to a new doctor. I have several chronic medical issues and a complex medical history. Coming from a previous excellent doctor in another state that I had for 12 years, my expectation for an equivalent doctor was low. My experience with Dr, Wauters over the past year has been exemplary. Dr. Wauters is very current on issues relevant to me (COPD, Interstitial Cyctitis, Immunospressive illness, Fatty Liver Disease, etc. He always gives me ample time for questions and discussion. He is open to new approaches and is a strong advocate for plant based diets and lifestyles. This is important to me because I am a vegetarian for over 30 years. I highly recommend Dr. Wauters to anyone in the Port Angeles, Washington area needing an excellent family physician.
