Dr. Michael Scott Weinstein, MD

This doctor is very good but... Whenever I make an appointment at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, my scheduled date is always cancelled and rescheduled. I have been associated with Dr. Weinstein for 10 years. Every year, his secretary calls to reschedule. My guess is that this doctor is young. As a result, he is building up his practice. In order to do so, he tries to fit in too many patients in a day. Since that is not possible, he kicks me and probably others around by rescheduling. It's not ethical and it is certainly rude. By the way, in 2019, when my appointment was cancelled, I went the hospital to see patients in the waiting room. Weinstein was in his office. I was boiling mad.

I had my sleep study done at DCMH. Dr. Weinstein was the doctor who reviewed my results. Even though I mentioned on the form that there was an issue with the device prior to falling to sleep it seems it was still factored into the sleep study. The duration of time should have been 6 hours and the results documented over 580 minutes in bed. Factoring this information in it appeared that I had O2 levels below 70%. When I reviewed the data I had over 90% O2 saturation after the time I corrected the issue with the device. When I called his office to discuss his secretary refused to allow me to discuss this over the phone and insisted I schedule an appointment, even though I had already paid $1000 via my insurance for the sleep study. It was a waste of money. I purchased an O2 recorder and have recorded 4 days where the reading have never dropped below 95%. I have never had a receptionist refuse to relay information for a call back. I suggest that anyone who needs a sleep study done to… look elsewhere from Delaware county and hopefully this review makes it to Dr. Weinstein so that changes are made in his staff's policies.
