Dr. Michael David Wengler, MD

Dr. Wengler is a very nice doctor who is very thorough and answered all my questions.

I have had 2 knee surgeries one on each knee, performed by Dr. Wengler, and as long as he practices, I will only go to him, he is amazing. I am able to walk because of him.

Dr Wengler misdiagnosed my finger injury. He gave me the wrong splint, proceeded to put it on upside down, had to Google it, and when I said that the injured finger didn't feel supported in the splint he just chose for me, he told me that I could use the one I was wearing that I received at Urgent Care (which supported a completely different joint). The urgent care doctor gave me the correct diagnosis, but Dr Wengler changed it. I had to go to TRIA Orthopedic right away when I left Fairview in order to get the correct diagnosis, splint and instructions. Don't waste your time with this doctor.

Having worked in the medical field, I am astute at knowing what is good patient care. Dr. Wengler did NOT provide it. The encounters were extremely short, way under the amount of time allowed by CMS for what he bills for. Before seeing him, he made sure that 3 things were done that he could bill for and collect money. When he saw me, it was for about a minute, and proceeded to give me an injection without explaining the plusses and minuses of doing so. Ignored my complaint about the other problem. Came to him again in 2 months as he stated, met with me for about one minute, ordered me to get 2 MRIs, and left. Of note, the MRIs were done poorly, and they made me come back to the MRI facility, taking an hour and a half out of my day and about 10 dollars in gas to account for their problem. Those MRIs were 650 dollars out of my pocket btw - no heads up, no alternive. His staff would not release the results of the MRI to me - they made me come and set up another appointment. I was at the… end of the day, 10 minutes late after they set up an appointment at the end of the day due to a late cancel, and still refused to tell me the results (there goes more gas money and time). Finally saw him, and he spent 2 mintues again - gave me a shot and told me to call when I am ready for surgery. I talked to another doctor who is a family friend and he said that surgery was a stupid idea for what I had. THis guy is a fraud and a liar and a poor doctor who cares about nothing but money.

Dr. Wrengler was very personable and professional. Anyone who has him as his or her doctor is fortunate.

I saw him twice. His diagnosis was totally wrong and recommended me a major surgery. It turned out that I did not even need surgery.

Dr. Wengler was very friendly and very approachable. He put me at ease right away and interpreted MRI results to me in English. He also was very upfront with me that surgery was not my only option and gave me several options to try first. I was so happy with the meeting that I hugged him before I left!

Diagnosis was spot on with explanations and options for healing that were explained thoroughly, so we could make the best choice for our daughter. The fracture needed reinforcing (screws), and Dr. Mike delivered that news in the gentlest fashion, I was very impressed. The surgery was short, but right after the surgery, Dr. Mike came out to find us and calm our hearts. This small comments space doesnâ??t have enough room to completely explain what we experienced, but if you want awesome guidance and surgical expertise, I highly recommend Dr. Mike Wengler. He goes by Mike, but I prefer Doctor Mike, heâ??s earned it.

10 years ago my husband and I were in a car accident major trauma my husband broke both of his legs and what we found out 4 years later his shoulder was very still broken I had a femur that would not heal after six surgeries and a removal of a rod and putting a plate in my leg it healed. I thought Doctor Mike was an awesome doctor until we seen my Husbands shoulder in an xray it is broken into many pieces and not fixed at all now we are trying to figure out what to do with the mess wish I could get a hold of doctor and show him what he missed this is not good

Mike handled a very difficult and challenging hip replacement for my husband. He's truly gifted.
