Dr. Michael Edward Whiting, MD

On 12/18/2025, I had a massive bleeding event from my nose. I managed to drive myself to the urgent care clinic. Dr Whiting was so calm, comforting, diligent and remarkably kind. I wasn't sure where to go when the bleeding continued after 90 minutes. Dr Whiting and the staff there were very understanding and patient with me. I was in an excited state and they made me feel at ease.

My son (under 5 yrs) recently saw Dr. Whiting when I took him to the MD Urgent Care clinic in Albuquerque. While Dr. Whiting was polite, he became slightly annoyed when I (very petite & pregnant) was unable to effectively subdue my VERY combative & in discomfort son while he was trying to look into his mouth...strike one! My son had been on his 3rd day of suffering from a persistant fever which wasn't improving & appeared to be dehydrated. When I took him to this urgent care center I figured they would've done iv rehydration, & some lab work...they didn't...strike two! His symptoms were vague, & then he said his left ear was red. When I posed other suggestions of what was ailing my son he seemed to pooh-pooh me & said he needed hydration, yet my son was in too much pain to drink much. He seemed very rushed & in a hurry to get rid of us, & get home. So he gave me a script & sent us on our way. The end result was me taking my son to the ER several hrs. later, him being admitted,… & being there for 7 days! No thanks to this doctor he's better, but my overall opinion of him & the clinic is that they were very unthorough & just took our money. Oh, & btw, he didn't have an ear infection! They might be fine for folks that have well-laid out symptoms, but wouldn't recommend them for pediatric cases. We won't be back.
