Dr. Michael Bruce Whitlow

Dr Whitlow diagnosed my psoriasis of the finger nails. The treatment was quite painful. Every month for five months I had to receive three shots in each finger tip. OUCH! He told me to apply Emla cream 1/2 hour before my appointment and added lidocaine to the medicine to numb the injection. He’s a caring and sympathetic doctor who i would recommend highly because of his knowledge of dermatological diseases and his manner is very calming.

A brilliant, and a very easy-going but extremely caring and careful physician!

I saw him for about eight years. Pleasant manner, and he did catch a couple of basal-cell carcinomas, but in retrospect, his examinations were much too quick and casual; I don't remember him ever examining my scalp or feet. Thus he missed a malignant melanoma on my heel (which I assumed was a callous when I noticed it). Three years later, after an operation and extensive drug therapy, I've been pronounced cancer-free. But I'm still experiencing the side effects of the powerful drugs, and require the use of a cane or walker. That a dermatologist should miss such an important diagnosis seems inexcusable.

this practice is top of the line. Dr. Whitlow is very caring and takes the time to explain each and every step that he will be taking in caring for you. the staff is the best..all the ladies in the office are very sweet..i'm very glad that i'm a patient in this practice.

He is very nice and polite. However, I question his ability as a doctor. He looked at my skin from 5 feet away for 10 seconds and apparently that was enough for him to diagnose that I had eczema. Well, I didn't. My second dermatologist gave me correct diagnosis. I do not trust this doctor.

Physician: as far as a lay person can judge, this MD makes good diagnoses and is very accommodating, prompt and professional.

Dr. Whitlow is amazing. I have referred a number of friends to him and we are all equally impressed. He is patient and sensitive, spends time, very smart. He can deal with the usual acne but also can diagnose and treat out of box rare issues.

Great flash but little substance. He missed a diagnosis for psoriasis that he should have learned in Dermatology 101. He seemed indifferent to the skin condition I presented, was vague about what it was and was vague about what to do about it. It was only after I consulted another dermatologist that I was given a correct diagnosis and an effective treatment.
