Dr. Michael Benjamin Wolfson, MD

Due to unforeseen circumstances I was absent from the practice for 11 years. I was able to return and was greeted with a warm welcome and the utmost, respect and professionalism. The staff and the Dr. were personable without being personally intrusive, helpful, responsive and informative in my care and well being with a sense of humor and laughter. The only difference in the continued care was convenience. They had relocated their practice office to the same location as their Outpatient Clinic. It was great to see that they still hold themselves accountable to such high ethics that I have known them for. It was good to be back with a team of trusted physicians.

Spent very few minutes with me in the office prior to procedure. Arrived late the day of procedure and argued with the nurse anesthetist the day of procedure. Nurse anesthetist wanted to delay my procedure because of an infection. He did the procedure anyway and due to his failures, I almost died and he created a $300k cost to my insurance for others to save my life and an additional $ 20k to me personally (not including lost wages and other trauma which continues to cost me.) I had difficulty getting my accurate medical records for further care with a different professional. After almost a year of recovery (I’m not fully recovered), his office and he are deflecting their error and I’m not even sure if they properly reported my near death at his hands. After his failed procedure, he wanted me to feel sorry for him...this physician is disconnected from reality, his patients and true caring. He is a pompous !!*&$

All I can say is WOW! We have a daughter college back to college in 2 weeks and every time she eats she throws up. He could not do an endioscopy in the time we needed so said we could use a colleague. We did so and when tried to schedule f/u appt with him he did not have anything available until Sept 21 so we schedule with another doctor who had availability the day my daughter goes back to college. I called to advise him the medicine he prescribed my daughter is not working and wanted to get test results. He was angry because in his own words “ we are all over the place and now with 3 doctors involved will have 3 different opinions”. I said well ur next appt isn’t until sept 21 and he said then she will have to wait. I said but she can’t wait that long she continues to throw up after each time she eats. He was rude and more concerned we made an appt with a colleague in his own practice vs my daughter throwing up. Not to mention how could there be 3 separate opinions? Aren’t… they doctors who all went to medical school and know how to read results or biopsies? Do NOT recommend at all!

In person, he is terrific. He takes the time to listen and to explain. The only negative is that he doesn't return phone messages and his office is terrible at refilling prescriptions when contacted by pharmacies. Otherwise, they are all extremely pleasant.

My experience with this physician and office has been excellent. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, patiently answering questions and checking on insurance. I am impressed that the physicians come out and welcome you in the waiting room. I have only praise for Dr. Wolfson and his skill and bedside manner.

I would not recommend this physician to anyone, because of his lack of interest in the patient's ideas and lack of knowledge in areas relating to gastroenterology (specifically relating to food allergies). His lack of respect for other physician's opinions and quickness to prescribe unnecessary medication has solidified my decision not to return to this doctor.
