Dr. Michael Scott Womack, MD

Dr Womack treated my sons heart condition 9 years. He always had time to talk to me and explain the surgery. I have yet to find another cardiologist that we feel as comfortable with and reassured.

Our son had ASD surgery today, Dr Womack explained in detail the process, different obstacles the team could run into, answered our questions, and talked to our son on his level. After the procedure, Dr Womack came to the waiting room, took us to view the X-ray and echo during the procedure. He then helped us carry our stuff down to recovery (and answered questions the entire way) where he explained the recovery process and the coming months. Dr Womack made us feel very comfortable with heart surgery and we felt less anxious for this than sending our son to his first sleep over.

My son has grown up seeing Dr Womack. The man is THE BEST with kids! He dresses professionally fun, and takes a lot of time talking to the kids, then the parents so no one feels left out. He is one of the smartest people I know, we will be sad when we 'graduate' out of his care.

My son was in Dr Womacks care and he and his staff were exceptional. They eased my concerns and walked us through my sons heart journey. Nothing I asked was too much. I would highly recommend Dr Womack and his team

As we waited in the waiting area we were absolutely confident in your work. A special thank you to Julie Dubois for her frequent text messages from inside the catheter lab while the surgery was taking place. What an amazing experience to know that my daughter Allison had a heart surgery and was released from the hospital the SAME day!! I went to see Dr. Womack today with a frightened 3 year old who has recently had a scary experience with a doctor who was lacking bedside manner with children. Dr. W was amazing with her! She left with a smile on her face feeling like she had visited with a friend. What a positive experience for both she and I! I wish we could see him for all of our future medical needs.

We really loved Dr. Womack. He took his time with us and made us feel more confident in what we were facing with our unborn child. But, no doctor, including him could give us a correct diagnosis. When our son was born we were all in shock with his immediate reaction to being outside the womb. He never left. He made sure we knew what was going on. We never found out what was wrong with him, but, I never held my son alive. He came to see us the morning of losing our son, and his presents made us feel like he really cared and we greatly appreciated it.

Dr Womack and his staff are fantastic. My daughter has a significant history of heart problems. Dr. Womack is caring, knowledgeable and thorough. I would highly recommend him and his office

Read the chart. Don't dismiss a mother's concerns. Look beyond the obvious instead of thinking in the box. Oh these symptoms don't fit what I already know so they must not be important. Surgery was 7 years late but she is doing much better a year after the surgery.

Dr Womack is the best. He talkes to you in general terms that you can understand and not over your head. He spends time explaining complex items, and you don't feel like you are just another number to him....He is awesome
