Dr. Michael James Woods, MD

This isn’t about Dr. Woods himself, I’ve never had a problem with him but he definitely needs new front desk employees. They are very rude and act like preschoolers fighting. I was supposed to have my appointment with Jenny at 7:40am, I checked in at around 7:20 and sat down. 4 people came after me and they were all called back as I still sat there. Their sign says if not called in 15 mins to alert the front desk so I did at 8:00am. The lady who checked me in didn’t actually check me in and her coworker knew it yet didn’t try to fix it. So I was told I would have to wait until 8:40am, I had to get a ride because I had had a fall and can’t use my right leg very well so that was unacceptable! If they had called me and I said oh sorry she needs to wait another 40 minutes before I can see her I’m very sure that wouldn’t have worked. I should have been taken back and the other patients should have had to wait. It was not my fault but I paid for it. Very unacceptable for a Doctors… office. Sure people make mistakes but fix them, my ride had to be at work so the early appointment was ideal for me but did they care? NO! Didn’t expect this from this office or Jenny at all!

Reception staff has been rude on multiple visits. They have been overheard making remarks about me as well as other patients while I was waiting. Scheduling is a hassle. The last time I made an appointment they called me last minute to tell me I had to show up two hours earlier if I wanted to be seen. Then I didn't even get to see Dr. Woods. The person I did see told me that she couldn't make decisions regarding some of my care so I would have to come back. They scheduled me for the next day and when I showed up, I was told that Dr. Woods would not see me and that he wasn't going to approve a prescription that I need. He made this decision without even speaking to me about it personally. I have been a patient in office for quite awhile and i've only seen him personally twice. He doesn't listen to my concerns and definitely does not work with me regarding my care. I will be changing Primary Care Providers as soon as possible. I was not impressed with any aspect of this doctor's office.

I was very impressed with Dr. Woods. He spent plenty of time and actually listened to my concerns and questions. He has a nice bedside manner and was very easy to talk to.
