Dr. Michael John Yaremchuk, MD

Made my eyes smaller, slanted, and prone to chronic discomfort. Did this all on his own, and I didn’t even have to ask for, consult with, or be informed of, i.e. - Not Elective. Ok, so maybe his hubris aided him, - but they both denied it. Please, reconsider “elective” surgery, - you may think you need it more than you actually do. Whatever your reasons, they’ll likely change with time. So wait. And if you must. . . Reconsider an alternative surgeon than this man.

I have a long, complicated history of plastic surgery (although "complicated" is subjective). So without turning this review into an unabridged novel of endless detail, I'll try to keep things concise and relevant enough. Essentially my entire facial skeletal structure has been crafted "bespoke" by Dr. Yaremchuk over the years. He's used predominantly porous polyethylene (PPE) to augment my posterior/anterior mandible, chin, paranasal, malar, and infraorbital regions. It doesn't look like I'm able to attach photos here, but my before profile was already pretty aesthetic and well-balanced. That's because I already had lower- and mid-face augmentation with Dr. Yaremchuk (the changes I've listed above). So then you could ask: why did I return for yet another procedure? One's view of ideal aesthetics is obviously subjective (i.e., in this case, chin projection posterior vs anterior to the lower lip, etc.), but I decided to come back to see Dr. Y this time around to have him… augment the chin anterior to the lower lip, improve symmetry, and also widen/square-out the chin. He accomplished all three. Really well too. The after result carries increased anterior projection on profile and a more masculinized appearance. Dr. Y's performance in terms of getting the projection to this level has far exceeded my expectations. My hunch is that my current result is actually what most males seeking chin/mandibular augmentation are looking for, but they don't know how to articulate their wants to the surgeon, and/or the surgeon doesn't have the expertise to craft the result. My natural, underlying structure I would conjecture is slightly hypoplastic relative to the population average, so it is impossible for me to effectively convey, via just two photos here, how much aesthetic augmentation I've received from Dr. Y. As I said, the results have exceeded any expectations I had. I should also point out that a somewhat incidental, secondary, positive outcome is I feel my nose is balanced in profile a lot better now. That hadn't been an overt concern of mine prior, but I can assess that the overall convexity of the profile has been reduced slightly, particularly since my brow/supraorbital area is fairly flat (or even slightly feminine) as it is. Not being able to add photos to this review doesn't allow for justice, but what I can say is from the front and oblique views, my chin is now a lot wider, squarer, and masculinized. It's a solid result. So to recapitulate a little: in terms of surgical skill and experience, Dr. Yaremchuk is pretty much as good as it gets. I can happily put my full weight behind this review to say that I unequivocally recommend him to anyone looking for facial skeletal changes. You can also review his literature contributions online and see that he is the leader in the field. In fact, I doubt anyone out there even comes close. Beyond the surgical elements, his response times, willingness to engage, empathy, and overall bedside manner are great. True intent always shines through, and you can see that he really is in it for the patients - i.e., he's passionate about putting his patients first and taking on difficult cases to get people the result they're looking for. I write this review because of my level of gratitude toward Dr. Yaremchuk.

Dr. Yaremchuk has done a facelift, neck lift, mid face lift and brow lift on me and he did such a great job! He has such a great eye for facial balance. I have used other surgeons in Houston and NY and their work was not good. I feel so lucky to finally have found a really great plastic surgeon. Also, he answers your concerns via email before and after any procedure. My only regret is that I did not find him sooner!

Dr Yaremchuk and his team of nurses and anesthesiologist are amazing. The results of a face and neck lift just one week post surgery are more than I could have hoped for. My family and friends say I look more than 10 years younger but I still look like me! Thank you for everything Dr Y!

Dr. Yaremchuck and his staff are excellent. I researched my options and selected Dr Yaremchuck because I felt he could provide me the natural look I wanted to achieve . I was also impressed that his medical staff assistants are Dr.'s and Nurses selected by him. I never felt nervous or insecure about the procedure because I felt confident I had selected the best Cosmetic Surgeon possible. My face and neck lift looks fabulous. I get compliments constantly about how young I look. Thank you Dr. Yaremchuck.

I am thoughtful and careful when writing any review and was shocked to see another patient write such a scathing review of Dr. Yaremchuk. I am a 52 year old male and I first came to him in 1997. I had a sub dermal lipechtomy and liposuction of my jaw line. The results took a year to fully show the amazing job that he did and it was worth the wait. He literally took 15 years off of my look. I am 52 but look 38. I recently had an alar base resection using his surgical expertise and I love my result because it is natural and always looks elegant and harmonious. He never recommends more than is needed and is kind and patient. The face and facial tissues take a very long time to settle and heal. I was informed of this and prepared for the wait. Sometimes obsessively looking at your face and documenting it daily can be detrimental and in the case of the woman who wrote the scathing review, she probably needed a psychiatric evaluation first. Dr. Yaremchuk is one of the best surgeons… and I continue to be impressed with his care.

I recently had facial plastic surgery with Dr. Yaremchuk. I am an educated medical professional and did research on my procedure and met with multiple plastic surgeons. I chose Dr. Yaremchuk for his expertise, honesty and integrity. I needed to trust in his judgement and believe he was capable of making the right decision when I was in surgery. I did not expect nor require him to be my new best friend. That being said he is a nice person and good to his word. My surgery was successful and I am happy with the results. I would recommend Dr. Yaremchuk for facial surgery and truly believe he is one of the best plastic surgeons in the Boston area. Changing something on your face is a big decision and knowing the risks and benefits is crucial. Dr. Yaremchuk is a seasoned, skilled surgeon and really one of the best in his field.

I found some of the negative reviews here astonishing and this prompted me to write. Dr. Y was absolutely thorough, efficient, honest and gave an extremely good result with dedicated followup during recovery. Really, he has a rare combination of technical skill with a true eye for facial aesthetics; therein lies his unique mastery of the PS profession. He was logical, decisive and readily explained why one option would be better than another. I'm from a medical family; did my research, compared options and approaches and went with him hands down. He did a more than great job; actually a rather fabulous one!
