Dr. Michael Stewart Zola, DDS

He missed a HUGE decay in my first office visit, one his own hygenist alerted him to, telling me it was fine to not come back for a whole year. My periodontist found it that same afternoon and had me immediately arrange to see someone about getting a root canal so I could save that tooth. Dr. Zola made his exam by looking at X-rays rather than my teeth. I'd recommend this guy if only you somehow know that your teeth don't need any care. I asked for a refund and he only offered his own exam fee, half of what I paid. And he hasn't even made good on that after 6 weeks...asked to see photos of the decay, then to see new x-rays, then to talk w/ my periodontist, then my dentist, then he can't connect via cell phone, then another week goes by...it never ends. Find a different dentist.

Dr Zola is very personable and professional, as is his whole office.

This is my second time I visit Dr. Zola's office for teeth cleaning. I must admit that Dr. Zola's examination was good. However, my assessment of the hygienists is that they are terrible and not well trained at all. On both occasions the hygienists spent minimal time and effort cleaning my teeth (max 15 minutes), which is not sufficient time for a thorough cleaning of teeth. I'm making this judgment based on my previous experience with my old hygienist at a separate office who unfortunately retired. The hygienists at Dr. Zola's office are clearly more interested in chatting with each other than paying attention to the care of the patient. I highly do not recommend this office of your annual teeth checkup and cleaning.
