Dr. Michaela Kathleen Millott, MD

Dr. Millott is very warm and empathetic. She has gone above and beyond many times to work with me through different situations. Never once has there been any feeling of judgement. Dr. Millott has been open about my diagnosis and ways to manage it. She is never pushy with medication and gives thorough explanation to managing symptoms and what meds can help with. Would recommend anyone in need of a psychiatrist to seek her out.

I find Dr. Millott a little icy, but she is not a therapist, so I guess that’s not a big deal. In a nutshell, I was doing well, on meds, hadn’t had the need to make an appointment. She failed to renew my scrip. Called office but was told Millott was no longer my doctor because I hadn’t been seen in over a year. Tried to make an appointment with another, but was told I couldn’t do that without a PCP. I explained that my PCP had moved and didn’t assign me a new PCP, and that registration was not helping me. I eventually found a PCP ON MY OWN, BY GOING DIRECTLY TO A FORMER COLLEAGUE AT THE HOSPITAL, because support staff at BWH IS USELESS since they force-retired their experienced people in order to “diversify.” It’s a joke. I don’t care what color your skin is if you can do your job. I need these people to do their jobs. I have depression. It has gotten worse. I have ended up in ER twice. I still cannot get An appointment with a psychiatrist. I don’t need “strong” and sassy and… black. I need someone who is competent and does not use my politicize my illness and use it as an opportunity to make a statement about what they perceive as “white privilege.” Enough is enough.

Dr. Millott has been amazing. She is so caring and empathetic to each situation I have had to deal with. She makes you feel so comfortable that you can share everything and really work through deep rooted issues without any judgement. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a therapist or just looking to work out situational issues and I have.
