If I could, I would give less rating than this. I had a doctor from this office as my infectious disease doctor at Beaumont. After a surgery, I had some side effect and so I called in Dr Hannah's office to get an appointment to see if I can rule out that this is not because of the heavy infection medicine course. I was told My doctor was out on a vacation. So, I asked for any other doctor who could give me an appointment. The office manager told me that I am not allowed to schedule an appointment and that this could be so dangerous that I need to immediately get admitted into the hospital in the ER. And if I wanted to speak with a doctor immediately, this is the only way. I asked her to confirm this with a doctor and she said- she will not and I can do this or see other doctors because she is not supposed to give me an appointment. She also scared me by saying that anything could happen and I should get immediately into an ER so that I can rule this out. The other option she had… given on call was - we could give you a liquid medicine in you IV where a nurse will come to your house each day and give you a liquid version through IV" - this was all said by office manager - instead of a doctor. I got into ER, Dr Hannah came after waiting for 6 hours in the ER as a replacement to Dr Scott and said - why are you even here? This is not something for which you get admitted. I was told to stop taking the medicine, 'if I think that this medicine is causing the side effect'. After this incident I started getting an extra bill from Dr Hannah's office because "I called for a specialist at the ER'. I called the office to ask for a reason for this bill because - I didn't want to go for ER in the first place and would have never gone unless for their office manager. The office manager is not even agreeing that she would ever tell this - she is saying she cannot without a doctor's recommendation say this and I am making things up! I distinctively remember telling her that you are not a doctor so how did you reach to this conclusion on my call right after coming home from Surgery. And she is also saying that she cannot forgive the bill for such a reason!! Are you kidding me? She is not ready to agree that this office (and her) would do this. Additionally, upon arguing with her because she doesn't agree to anything, she says 'if you were so concerned, why did you go to the ER? - because scared me so much by saying nurse will come with an IV bag every day for the next month! How can an office or a doctor let this happen? All they care is that Dr Hannah is the head and all other doctors are under him. Why would they not let me make an appointment and rule this simple thing out? Who gives the office manager authority to say all this on phone? I feel conned in the face of a medical situation to milk money! I paid hospital charge and also paid other specialist charges there as a part of hospital bill. And I now paid a bill to Dr Hannah. Where is Dr Hannah or Dr Scott, my appointed doctor in all this?

Quite possibly the worst doctor I’ve ever dealt with. I have been having problems for years, going from being in the gym everyday and walking around the outdoors for my job. To moving back into my parents house to be taken care of because I am so sick and fatigued all the time. So after a year and a half of being bed ridden I finally get an appointment with infectious diseases and he cancels my appointment multiple times and when i finally get in he only spends 5 minutes with me. He looks at my basic blood tests and tells me “you have chronic fatigue and there’s nothing I can do”. No extra tests or anything, he doesn’t make a single attempt to try and find out what’s going on. Because chronic fatigue being the diagnosis for my symptoms was just insulting. Well turns out I had Lyme disease, bartonella, and a systemic strep infection. He’s the worst doctor ever and if you have any actual problems. Find someone else, because all he wants to do is leave the office early and cancel your… appointment. He needs to be fired.

Watch your bill

This is something that has become far too common. In the rare cases of finding a great Dr. the staff is so terrible that it’s difficult at best to stay with the Dr. Typically the bad phone experience only gets worse in person! I would hate to be forced to see a lesser Dr. however I refuse to continue to be treated horribly by a rude mean incompetent staff!!

Very informative and helpful. He is very knowledgeable and professional in his field. There is no better ID doc, really couldn’t say enough!

First you have to get to the "Patient Referral" line, they ask some questions, then transfer you to Dr Hanna's office, where they ask the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS. Took me 10 minutes of being on hold before I got an appointment made. I hope the rest of this experience is better than the appointment-making process.
