Dr. Michele Baltus, MD

I recently had an appointment with Dr baltus at the NYU Langone primary Care facility in Huntington Long Island. I went in because my specialist said my blood pressure is dangerously high and I've been having chest pains and erratic and high blood pressure readings. When I got in for my appointment the nurse was very rude and dismissive when I said that I needed an EKG when I scheduled the appointment it was for an ekg. When she left the office she started talking about me and my medical needs alloud so everyone could hear. Then when the doctor came in she gave me a horrible attitude and even though I kept trying to tell her I'm having chest pains and I'm scared of having a stroke or a heart attack she would not take my blood pressure or hear my request for an EKG. Finally she was so rude that I asked her to get the manager when the manager came she apologized and said that she would do what she could to have another doctor take my blood pressure and give me an EKG. After an hour of… sitting there with pain in my chest I couldn't wait anymore and I left. I had faith in NYU Langone as being humanitarians as caring for your patients I was treated like an enemy and I don't even know why maybe it was because there was a scheduling confliction with the EKG and the time that they needed to perform it but that's not my problem I've been feeling like I'm having a heart attacks for days and I'm scared and no one would even take my blood pressure to make sure I was okay I had to leave and drive away and now I'm finding a whole new medical facility. I had used NYU Land going for my primary care and for my specialists for years. I feel discriminated against The only reason that I could think of for why they would treat me this way was because of my HIV status. I'm hoping that you can take this feedback and use it to improve your facility so that no other patient has to be traumatized the way I was in your office by Dr baltus. Please contact me and let me know that I'm sending this to the right place because I'm adamant in making sure no other patient gets treated the way I was.

Intelligent, comprehensive exam.

Very experienced, knowledgeable and really cares for her patients. I find her approach to be inspirational to meet my health goals.

Rudest most apathetic doctor I have ever seen. Have dealt way too long with her inexcusable bedside manner. After my last visit I needed to speak up. Such a lack of caring ~ such a chip on her shoulder. People need kindness when seeking medical care. Should anyone want to talk about the specifics of my last visit, I would be happy to elaborate. She was so rude and had no right to speak to me in the manner she did.

I went to see her because my Dr was not available and found her to be rude, dismissive with a poor bedside manner total lack of empathy. I will never go to her again nor should you.

I find this physician very have a poor bedside manner. I advised her that I had palpitations, my heart rate was high, she had no time to perform an EKG, I told her my father was the week before this visit, she is a physician who does not care. My experience with her was quite upsetting, I left her office upset. I would not recommend her and am changing my doctor

Dr Baltus asked me very inappropriate questions and I found her to be very judgemental and uncaring. I would not recommend her as a doctor at all.

I think Dr Baltus is a good Doctor however her bedside manner can use a lot of help

Dr. Michele Baltus is my primary care physician. She is everything one would expect in a health professional. She is articulate, intelligent, and knowledgeable in her areas of expertise. She is compassionate, yet forthright. She seems to take a personal interest in the well-being of her patients. If one must see a doctor for any reason, one would want to see Dr. Baltus.

After being seen by Michelle Baltus, I recieved medical news that was quite alarming, a hightened white blood cell count, which as we all know is related to CANCER. I would have expected or better yet appreciated a little more concern after recieving this information from Dr. Baltus. However what I did receiev is...no phone call back or follow up on a "slip" I was to recieve in the "mail" at a later date to recieve blood work to further look into this problem. Now I have visted the er twice in last two weeks and still have no word on the "slip" but after waiting hours on hold today on the phone was informed that my slip is waiting at the desk for me now extremely ill to pick up. I would honestly recommend ANYONE else as your family docter.
