Dr. Michele Lynn Basche, MD

I was treated with chemo and radiation and given a clean bill of health, 3 month scan clean then 6 month scan which Dr. said this is not a clear good scan I was told by her I had cancer on my liver now, I asked how long and she said 9-15 months, we would not accept this and went to MD Anderson where I hadanother scan that showed no cancer, now 2 years later I'm very much alive and have never shown any cancer on my liver. She never should have given me a dateline of how long I would live before doing another clearer scan! She put us through a lot of sleepless nights and tears!

Dr Basche has been my Doctor for 5 years, she is a good Doctor and I am extremely confident in her care.

She treats the disease not the patience. She is a bit to quick to diagnose based on statistics prior to exhausting other possible alternatives. I would recommend a second opinion prior to accepting her diagnosis.

Being diagnosed with cancer can be very overwhelming. Dr. Basche explains everything, lots of options, and is right on with diagnoses of complications. She's been a lifesaver....literally.
