Dr. Michele Elizabeth Brogunier, MD

Dr. Brogunier was pivotal in saving my life two years ago. I reluctantly went to urgent care on a Friday afternoon with seemingly unrelated physical discomfort and complaints. She perceived connections and ran a few tests .Looking back, I believe she was more confident in her suspicions, but was careful not to overstep her expertise. She was able to convey an urgency without unnecessarily alarming me. She referred me to the UW Hospital's emergency room because there were further tests to be run and she did not want me to have to wait for primary care physician referrals the following week. Eight hours later, I received a cancer diagnosis; two weeks later, I began chemotherapy; and, six months later, I was in remission. Dr. Brogunier was as kind and compassionate, as she was skilled and professional. I am forever grateful.

Dr. Brogunier took care of me and my family for 15 years. I missed her after she left GHC. She was kind, compassionate, knowledgable and went the extra mile for us.

Generally kind and understanding - she was my primary care physician for at least 8 years but will be leaving GHC so will miss her there. She was OB-GYN with the family medicine at GHC so was very busy and sometimes hard to get to see. She listened and referred me as needed to specialists. I had numbness symptoms and she worked on getting me referred to a neurologist right away and get an MRI, and stayed late at the clinic to make sure I could see her to discuss the MRI. She would respond to mychart questions promptly.

She is thorough and knowledgeable. I recommend her to my friends. I feel fortunate to have her as my doctor.

She is thorough, a good listener and took the time to make sure I was taken care of.

Dr. Brogunier tries to be very kind and caring, but I do not click with her. I do not feel like she asks or listens to how I'm feeling but instead assumes how I'm feeling, which is frustrating.

She was unable to analyze individual cases under concrete situations. She thought everything should be as standard as the cases in her medical textbook. She refused to respect her patients' thoughts. She thought her patients were too stupid to deserve an explanation from her.

I suspect this woman is unstable. I did not even question her diagnosis-- I mentioned, as she was walking out of the room after a very brief meeting, that I had a history of medical problems that may be related (which she would have known had she let me finish a sentence or asked me)-- and she immediately became defensive and unreasonable. She was mocking in tone. She was condescending. She was patently uninterested in my medical history or family history. I was shocked by how unprofessional Dr. Michele Brogunier was; she does not deserve to have a medical license. I am filing a formal complaint against her with GHC.
