Dr. Michele Margaret Gunning, MD

Dr. Gunning is wonderful. Kind, caring and efficient. She is always on time, her office is very inviting and she just has a cool and calm demeanor that makes her very easy to talk to, which is important in a mental health setting. She is always available, quick to refill medications & answer portal messages. The front staff is efficient and caring and her nurses are very easy to talk to.

Dr. Gunning is a caring and dedicated provider. I was at a very low point when I began seeing her. I was suffering from severe anxiety and depression. She was able to start me on the correct medications while understanding my fear of taking prescription drugs. She and her office staff are always just a phone call away and she has always been very good with follow up for any concerns I have. I am happy to report I am stable and my life is truly better because my mental health is finally being treated.

She does not spend any time with patients even when they are in crisis. Prescribes additive drugs with no med checks or follow ups.

I've been a patient of Dr Gunning's for almost 4 years. She is very attentive, understanding of my reservations and works with me to make informed decisions.

I felt like she was just a dispenser of meds. She was too quick to suggest meds for sleep when that wasn't really my issue. I was on a good regimen from a prior psychiatrist who left the area, but I never felt like she really took the time to know me. After a few sessions, decided I could get more satisfaction from just maintaining my med routine with my family doctor and counselor.

I was impressed at how pleasant and knowledgebale she was. She really set my mind at ease.
