Dr. Michele Hakimian, MD

After three days working and trying to correct (including 7am-10am the morning of my appointment) and speaking with Tasc, BCBS, and my pharmacy. After realizing I was going to miss the time frame to take my Misoprostol, I had no choice but to cancel my appointment. I called and was very apologetic because I knew I was wasting the time of my doctor and other staff members and made sure to apologize and was 1000% willing to pay the cancellation fee and said as much. However, the two staff members were so rude and made their anger known to me with their tone and how they were speaking to me. I understand I caused a major inconvenience, but they already knew the issue I was experiencing because I spoke with one of them earlier in the week, so they knew I wasn't lying. They maintained the disrespectful way they were speaking and I eventually got off the phone feeling like this practice does not feel like a safe place for patients. I will be looking for another practice and a new doctor.

The first time I went to Dr. H was after more than a decade and two pregnancies at my other GYN. I came with a problem on day 1 and she was attentive, listened to my concerns, solution-oriented and took time to answer questions. Her recommended treatment has been great. At my annual one year later, she was the same way -- attentive and consultative. She proactively brought up a few things for me to consider, which I appreciated. Overall, I have liked Dr. H and found her to be a good doctor. Also, it was a nice surprise to find her office efficiently run -- I was in/out very quickly, but not in a way that impacted by experience with her.

I feel that she spends significantly more time trying to sell Botox or cool sculpting than gynecology and I was there for gynecology. I received no call about my test results but a call and an email about cool sculpting. No urinalysis and the gynecology appointment took maybe 5 minutes including questions about cool sculpting. I think I’m going to find a new doctor-I already have a dermatologist

She's not a terrible doctor, but she's really not great either. I feel like everything she does is done with her mind elsewhere and without any thought to how you- the patient- are doing or what you are thinking. Also, she's a little rough and I think she causes unnecessary discomfort during her exams. I find her distant and detached. I will not be returning.
