Dr. Michelle Anne Anfang, MD

My meetings with Dr. Anfang started out OK. She listened to me complain when I was going through a difficult time. She was, however, too quick to prescribe meds, quite condescending at some points, and mean-spirited when I ended up in the emergency room for attempting suicide.. I don't even remember how many different meds I went through while seeing her over the course of a few months. It was, for the most part, a slew of different psychotropic drugs to treat anxiety and depression when all I really needed was someone to talk to. After the ER visit I got off of the cocktail of meds she had me on because, to this day, I blame them for my attempt as it was completely out of character for me to do such a thing. When I stopped seeing her after that she took offense and used her authority to call social services and report me which was completely unacceptable and a total waste of time for me and the social worker who paid me a visit at my home. Even the social worker agreed that… there was no need for that. This was years ago and it still upsets me to think about my experience with her so I thought I would let others know.
