Dr. Michelle Deann Barnes

Wow! I was wanting to make a first appt. But after reading these comments I may have changed my mind now...??

My wife were both patients and were dropped. Wife went to get labs for UTI. She never saw Dr. Barnes or Nurse after waiting 4 hours and told find something over the counter. Dr Barnes was unable get Shingles vaccine and stop refilling RXs. Find a different Health Care Professional.

Just didnt seem to care.

Dr. Barnes is a wonderful physician. Every time I have seen her I have received excellent care. She is attentive, patient, and wants to help. I am not doms of her nurse, Jennifer, but the nurse isnt why I go to Dr. Barnes so I choose to overlook it since Dr. Barnes is so great. I have seen her NP twice now when I've needed to get in early on day-of notice and she has always taken good care of me and had my well-being in mind. I highly recommend Dr. Barnes!

Very good doctor spends time with patient.

Dr. Barnes is a good doctor, but the Mercy Clinic support staff and appointment policies have problems. I recently called for an appointment and was told I was dropped as a patient and was sent a letter informing me three months ago. I'm pretty sure I would have noticed such a letter. I did not receive it, and I'm the only person that gets the mail at my house. So I know I did not receive it. Anyway, whatever, but I asked the scheduler WHY I was dropped as a patient. She said "noncompliance" and that it is usually because of a missed appointment. I have not missed an appointment with them. I asked when that happened and she couldn't tell me, she could only say "Well, it just says noncompliance, probably about three months ago." Yeah, thanks, could have figured that out myself. Heard you the first time. So, no I did not receive a letter, and I did not miss an appointment, but I was dropped anyway. I think it's kind of strange that they will drop a long time patient for… supposedly one missed appointment, yet they offer no reminder cards or reminder calls that other doctors do to help mitigate that. I would think that if missed appointments were such a huge problem for them, they would look into helping people (cause, you know, that's kind of the business they're in) instead of just dropping people without even any kind of notification. So now I guess I'm banned for life because I supposedly missed an appointment at some point. Sad, because I did like Dr. Barnes.

I do not appreciate not being explained the policy and procedures of appointments and never being able to speak to a physician that is suppose to be providing care and assistance to you for better health etc...I had an appointment today with horrible back pains which has been painful for me to go to work daily and I was turned away because I was 10 minutes late. Additionally I’m being told I am being dropped as a patient. I have a hectic work schedule and have called to advise I am running behind schedule in getting there but I could never get through to anyone. Also the nurse was very rude and disrespectful to me. I do not believe this clinic should be called Mercy because they do not practice that at all as human beings and as a Christian or Catholic facility that took over. Now I am stuck looking for another doctor in Norman. God I miss NY! Thank you for nothing! Horrible service I should have listened to my instincts of this doctor being uncaring and not helpful each time I’ve met… with her trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. But God Always shows me who people are. And I’m probably better off without her poor people skills and poor physician skills... Very Poor excuse for a doctor and a liar!
