My child has been referred to CCMC GI for ongoing stomach problems. We have seen them several times now. However, after my son had diarrhea on an off for 5 days, I messaged the GI at CCMC (who it takes time to get an appointment with) and she said it was a good idea to take him for a quick check at the pediatrician so someone could feel his stomach, and make sure he wasn't showing signs of dehydration. When we came in, my son and I were basically met with a "why are you here and what do you expect me to do about It attitude by the PA". I felt dismissed. If I could just get an appointment with the CCMC GI any time he experienced stomach issues, I obviously would take him there instead. A more caring response to a kid with chronic unresolved health issue would've been appreciated.
