FMC was wonderful and the staff were amazing, but this anesthesiologist was not. She was the only bad part of the entire experience. She was the worst part of my labor. She had horrible bedside manor. She was very rude and did not explain a thing to me. Refused to wait until a contraction would pass to place the epidural needle. Again, very rude, and acted 100% rushed. Which probably contributed to the fact that she missed not once but TWICE and finally got an effective catheter in place the third time. I am 5 months postpartum and have highly uncomfortable back pain every single night that is enough to make me wake up very frequently throughout the night. I plan to go back to FMC for future pregnancies and if the name "Douglas" is mentioned when I request and epidural, she will not be coming near me. I will go without one if no one else is available to place it. If this website would allow a zero star rating, that's what I would rate her.
