Dr. Michelle Louise Gauthier, DO

Never had one problem with her immediate return call from her staff when I have questions. She has been my Dr. since she came to Kenosha.

If you care about being treated as an important patient and if you don’t want to go somewhere that just follows bare minimum guidelines that they LEGALLY have to follow, I wouldn’t recommend going here yourself or even for a family member.. it makes me sad to say because I don’t like being this person, but I feel everyone needs to know. I have had nothing but horrible experiences here. Now I am one of the most caring, thoughtful and forgiving people I know. So, believe me when I say I’ve really tried to work with Dr.Gauthier. But I can’t any longer. I have had the hardest time with communication and respect from her and certain members of staff. I do however LOVE her nurses, they are very sweet and seem to be there for the right reasons. I have a LONG history of mental health issues as well as some body-health issues. I feel that I’ve really had to fight for myself in order to get the help I deserve as a patient. My mother is a doctor and I see the way she treats her patients VS. the… way I’ve been treated here is a complete 180. I have felt disregarded and belittled. I VERY politely stated that I was hoping to get a response later that day or tomorrow to a question and I got a call back a few minutes later with someone telling me the guidelines that they have and that “legally” they don’t have to for a 48-72 hour period. So basically they decided to get legal on me when I was asking for an earlier response because this whole time I’ve been with her as my doctor it could either take a day or up to a whole week for them to respond to me, generally it was taking about a 4-5 day period to get anything back. I have been sticking with it because during corona I don’t want to have to go out and deal with finding a new doctor but after today I decided it’s time. Doctors should be compassionate and care about their patients, not worry about what they can “legally” do and just follow the bare minimum so they don’t get themselves in trouble. I will not keep my mouth shut about the way I’ve been treated, I understand the medical World, I’ve been a part of it since I was a child, Traveling with my mom to Washington D.C. every year in order to make changes to the medical world, for reasons just LIKE THIS that I’m telling you all about. I’m sure she’s done a lot Of great things but I have been feeling exactly the opposite of how I should feel when it comes to MY healthcare. NO ONE should settle for less than they deserve, so don’t make the same Mistake I did by coming here just because of the good ratings she had. It seems like they might just be filtered out. We’ll find out I suppose.

Dr. Gauthier is an okay doctor. She doesn't listen well to what you have to say. She does not follow through on important things she tells you she will do which ends up in phone tag with the office staff. She is not quick to answer requests from pharmacies for medication approvals. The office staff is pleasant enough, however, when my medications were called into a pharmacy other than my mail pharmacy I was never told it had been switched. I had to go for two weeks without my medication.

My husband and I really like Dr. Gauthier but today Thurs. 10/19/2017 had an unpleasant experience with the receptionist at her office. I was dropping off some paperwork for Dr. Gauthier to approve and sign. The receptionist never looked up from her desk/computer, never even smiled and did not give any information until I specifically asked a question. We were made to feel like she was doing us a favor by taking the paperwork. Very unpleasant interaction. A SMILE WOULD GO A LONG WAY!

I can not say enough about Dr. Gautheir and her staff.

very upset I have to find another doctor because she does not carry blue cross blue shield insurance. Have been with her many years great doctor, don't want to leave. Maybe can think about adding this insurance so I can return.

Absolutely love her and feel very comfortable.

She is my doctor and lifesaver for 10 years. She is pleasant and easy to discuss concern with. She leads a healthy life by example, daily fitness runner.

I just switched doctors and I have only seen her once. I was looking for a DO and she came highly recommended by an associate of hers. I am in good health overall but I definately need to be heard. I felt like she listened and answered my questions from womans issues and aging to my skin problems. I really felt great about the apt. My only complaint would be about her office. Seems to be a busy practice and the staff seems unprofessional and a bit unfriendly. Takes a very long time to get in to see her. My focus has been on having a good doctor so unfortunatly I will deal with the office staff. I think she will be terrific though!

I see her and so does another family member, and the other family member gets treated more seriously, often for the same symptoms than I do because I have a chronic condition and everything often gets blamed on this condition. Also, for actual physical issues I often get pushed off to specialists. As a result, I have way more doctors then I feel I need. The staff is courteous for the most part, but often it takes days to get a call back from their office, and sometimes you need to call back because they never call back from the first message, which is why I rated promptness at a 2.
