Great doctor! Professional, courtesy and pleasant!

I had my baby last week and had a hard delivery plus I’ve been having some baby blues. My doctor was unable to see me so Dr Gooch filled in. She was AMAZING!

I selected Michelle Gooch as my OBGYN and she referred me to her husband, Jason Gooch, for a procedure. The overall experience with Michelle was good. There was little communication in the transition from her care to her husband's, but I chalked it up to everyone being busy and it's a complex time with Covid. After meeting with Dr. Jason Gooch, I decided to move forward with the procedure. His office told me they would contact my insurance to determine pricing, which they did and I agreed to pay the amount quoted to me. About a month after the procedure, I received a bill for over $500. I called the office and was told the office made a mistake and used an old pricing chart to quote me so I owed the additional money. They claimed that the price they gave was an "estimate". I didn't agree as this was an internal issue and not an insurance issue. See when you agree to the "estimate" you agree to pay the difference if the insurance company doesn't pay, not a clerical issue of the office… staff. I continued to push the issue and even asked to speek with Dr. J. Gooch who refused to speak with me. This is very unprofessional. On top of this, nobody from the office contacted me after the procedure to see how I was doing. I will not do business with the Gooch's moving forward. I do not reccommend them to anyone and if you choose to receive care from them, know they do not have your best interest at heart.

Best doctor ever! - And whahooo, she still takes my inconvenient insurance! The visit was on time, staff is courteous and it's a nice location. Dr. Gooch is authentic, kind, socially conscious and thorough. She makes those bothersome well-woman visits not such a chore! Glad to have found her.

It can already be nerve wrecking knowing someone is about to poke a needle in your vein to draw blood. But when that person is doing so while and keeps looking away to yap with her co-workers there about her personal life or what she did the other day while a needle is pumping blood out fast, is NOT what I signed up for. It is unprofessional and tacky behavior. One of my tube was nearly all the way full because she wasn't paying attention while looking away to tell a story.

She has the rare combination of professional competence and warm bedside manner. I feel like I'm talking to a friend who is my trusted doctor.
