Michelle Hanes, MD, FACOG

Doctor Hanes is such an amazing doctor! She knows what she is doing and will always do what is best for you!

She is very patient and knowledgeable. Dr. Hanes delivered my daughter vaginally (after 20 hours of intense labor) and she allowed me to follow MY birth plan. She even came back at 3 am even though she wasn't on call. She has also done my friend's cesarean. I trust her with my life. She has also had to perform a D&C on me due to miscarriage- she also called me at home after to check on me and make sure I was doing okay (mentally). I am also getting ready to have a LEEP done due to precancerous cells that. She always takes the time to explain things to me and I feel confident in her abilities. I won't go to anyone else for my next baby.

Overall, I am not satisfied with her manners. She gets rude and doesn't answer my questions and concerns. Openly argues with me about my own medical history, which she has access to. I will not use her again when I choose to expand my family.

MD was able to diagnose my IC on time.

She is very condescending and rude. She actually made me cry during my visit. She seemed irritated by my questions and by my responses to her questions. She showed a complete lack of empathy, in my opinion. I hope I never have to be treated by her again. The other doctors that I've seen in this same Kelsey Sebold practice are amazing! She practices with a completely different attitude from theirs.

My main issue with Dr. Hanes is her bedside manner. During my exams with Dr. Hanes, I had many questions. Dr. Hanes' responses were upfront, however she always had a condescending attitude and made me feel as though my questions were unnecessary. Most likely she has encountered these same questions repeatedly over her career, but I'd like to feel as though I can ask my doctor any questions without worrying that she will belittle my concerns. I did not have issues with making appointments, wait time, or with the staff.

I really enjoyed my birthing experience with Dr. Hanes. I found both her and her staff to be very professional and kind. I prefer a smaller office feel, something about it gives you a more personal feel when it comes to your prenatal care, well woman visits and birthing experiences. After having seen 2 or 3 other OBGYN's I plan on sticking with Dr. Hanes and her staff.

Dr Hanes was very thorough in my exam and very caring regarding the issues that I was experiencing.

I loved Dr. Hanes. Her bedside manner was terrific and she spent a great deal of time with me! This was my first visit with her and she asked a lot of questions about my medical history.The office staff was excellent. I had some questions regarding insurance issues and the billing person was very patient and took the needed amount of time to answer my questions.I would recommend Dr. Hanes and, in fact, have already done so.

Was short, seemed flustered and didn't have a good bedside manner. Any questions she answered were done too quickly and when I had further questions she seemed irritated that I didn't understand from the get-go.Loved her office staff but she blamed many errors on them which made me nervous.Loved the ultrasonographer but Dr Hanes said multiple times that she was slow that morning which seemed unprofessional to me.My exam was painful which has never been an issue before (this is not my first pregnancy) and I was not seen for a problem.Although I was worked in quickly for an appointment I could see why. It seems like she sees lots of patients and everyone waits a long time to see her.Their billing manager was rude to me on the phone when I had a question about my bill. She was very short with me for no reason, I was not angry or upset; I just had a question.There were a lot of people in the lobby discussing how to get on medicaid easily and how to raise their children, most of which were… unbathed or very poorly educated. I am not comfortable sharing exam beds (among other things) with people who lack good hygene.
