Dr. Michelle Linda Mears, MD

Dr. Mears has been very helpful, knowledgeable and kind to me and my family. She listened well to me and my 15-year-old daughter and gave me appropriate recommendations, backed up by research and her professional experience. I feel she is a very good doctor who cares for her patients, offers diagnoses, suggests treatment and prescribes medication appropriately. I honestly don't understand why anyone would rate her anything but top-notch, and I'm surprised at the vitriol contained in the few negative reviews. I wonder if those remarks are more a reflection on the patients than this highly competent doctor.

I need refills for Acyclovir please since I have had cold sores since high school please refill like 10 months

I got Dr Mears when using the on call service. I called at 5:45 because I all of a sudden had a horrible bladder infection and it was super painful. She was incredibly rude and was offering no advice at all, telling me I should have called my doctor when the office was open and that it wasn't a true medical emergency. I explained I've been dealing with my son who has a concussion and haven't had time to take care of myself. She finally agreed to call in a prescription after I had apparently yelled at her. She should NOT be a doctor. She showed zero compassion and the only solution she had was the solution I gave her. I didn't call in for pain pills, I was calling in for antibiotics to relieve an infection.

First of all, her office holds a sign saying "I can only please one person a day and today doesn't look good for you" or something else a long the lines of that. Weird. I guess funny but not in a doctor setting when, ya know...she's suppose to help you. She was pretty rude and acted stuck up, like she knew how to diagnose someone without so much as an examination which was alarming. She acted like everything I said was dumb and I had no idea what I was talking about and really gave no constructive tips on my condition or any of the health worries I had. She's great at handling out pills though, so she's got that going for her. Oh, the nurses there are amazing though, so sweet, calm. They were the best.

Spends time talking about my health goals.

I went to see her complaining on chronic neck pain. Explained I had no insurance and could not afford the cost of Ex rays or MRI but could pay cash if she would help me with the pain. A Quick exam and I left with a prescription for Valium and Vicodin.

Dr mears sent me a letter out of the blue terminating our patient doctor relationship. This caused me to have to seek a new primary care physician which is not an easy task!

Dr Mears is outstanding with tremendous abilities. She has diagnosed several conditions no one else has ever even suggested and sewed up my foot after an accident with expert results.

I was diagnosed with an acute condition that required attention from my PCP. After not being contacted and going into a weekend when I knew the office would be closed, I had Dr. Mears paged (5:00pm on a Friday). I was treated with complete disrespect by her, even though I had been told if the condition was not treated appropriately, and I did not follow instruction, I could be hospitalized. She made a point of ensuring that I was aware that my page to her on-call was an absolute interruption that she did not want to deal with. Wouldn't have needed to do that if my need had been addressed during office hours. My conclusion: She is not in healthcare because she cares.

Not friendly at all, refused to shake hands the first time meeting because of the threat of germs. Tried to diagnose a foot problem without looking at or touching my foot. She did not even have me remove my sock, but said it was most likely plantar fasciatis(?). I went to another doctor who found I have torn ligaments in my foot that now require extensive surgery, and a very long recuperation time. Her bedside manner was cold, and matter of fact. I had the feeling she was assuming the worst of me as a new patient, like I was a hypochondriac or a drug addict, or something. She has to have positive qualities, but I didn't see them, and will not return.
