Dr. Michelle A Migliore, DO

I am an RN from one of the local hospitals. Dr. Migliore has one of the best reputations in town! Since she left private practice to work for a healthcare company, I hear her pts tell me about how much they really miss her. I read on this site where a woman was upset about her blood pressure pill not being changed. It is true that birth control pills can cause high blood pressure. Many GYN's will take pts off of BCP's if the pt has high blood pressure b/c of the potential risk of stroke. In situations like that, I see the GYN's put in an IUD instead instead of using hormones. As for the woman who is mad about owing money, it sounds like the fact that you owed money was the reason you were dismissed from that practice. It happens all the time. If you don't make arrangements to pay for your financial obligations, a practice has a right to discharge you. If you owed money and didn't bother to find out how to settle your debt, that's on you, not that practice. Dr. Migliore is a… beloved member of the local medical community and I can vouch for her expertise, compassion, and working hard for her patients. Anyone who says differently isn't in the know or just has sour grapes to complain about.

I have been a patient of Dr. Migliore's for nearly 20 yrs. I received a certified letter in the mail a week ago informing me that I had 30 days to establish myself with a new doctor and that Michiana Family Medicine will only see me for emergencies within this 30 day time frame. The letter was signed by Cathy J., Practice Manger of Michiana Family Medicine. There was no reason given for my receipt of this letter. I can only assume that the letter was in response to me questioning a "possible charge" that I was alerted to after a phone call to me from the Practice Manager Cathy the Monday before I received the letter. After being laughed at by Cathy when I questioned the "possible charge" I asked my Dr. to call me. Cathy reported that she would pass this request on to Dr. Migliore. To date, there has been no return call from anyone at Michiana Family Medicine nor further follow up one their end other than the certified letter that I received. I am very disappointed to say the least.… To add insult to injury, when I called to inquire about getting my medical records, I was told there would be a charge of $15 for the first 10 pages and $.10 per page after that. Luckily, I am fairly healthy but have been a patient for nearly 20 yrs! I am sure that my "chart" is a decent size. So, not only have I been dismissed from Michiana Family Medicine without reason, I have to pay a fortune for my own medical records if I want a copy. Doesn't seem like a situation a "quality" doctor or Practice would put their patient in.

I've been to many doctors in my life and she is one of the smartest I've ever had the luck to know. When others couldn't figure out what was wrong, she didn't give up. She is very smart, funny and kind. I wouldn't trade her for any other doctor in our area!

Left me on toprol xl even though my blood pressure was 140/90 on med. Wouldn't change it. Also told me to get off birth control pills cause of high blood pressure. Well, duh! Change my med!! Went to different dr who immediately took me off and tried new one that worked. They couldn't believe she left me on it so long with it not workin. Husband still goes to her and she pushes him off to specialists for everything. Doesn't want to do anything! One of worst drs I've been to. She used to be better...

I was very happy with the doctor and her staff.

She is the most caring physician I have ever seen. She is warm, funny and reassuring. I always feel better just by talking to her!

Dr. Migliore is very caring and discreet. She is very patient with her patients both young and old and is easier to contact than most other physicians I've been to.

Dr. Migliore was my first post-pediatrician doctor, and 20 years later, my whole family goes to her. We love her and couldn't be happier. She's personable and truly cares about her patients, and takes time to explain everything to us. She works with us on our care and never talks down to us like other doctors can. Her office staff is always helpful, and when we need to see other doctors in the practice, we have every confidence in them too. We couldn't ask for more.

She is incredibly understanding and compassionate. She is the best diagnostician in town!
