Dr. Michelle Weidemann Murphy, MD

I was looking for a new Gyno since I felt my previous nurse praticioner seemed to want to rush me to be in and out. When my husband and I first met Dr. Murphy she was friendly and compassionate. She had looked at my chart and gave me better options then my previous doctors did. She truly was and is an answered prayer.

Amazing! Fabulous, she called me at home and I felt cared for and she really respected and listened to me.

Dr Murphy is genuinely interested in listening to my problems. She asked me really good questions that my other doctors never asked. She got right back to me about my lab tests and we were able to schedule my surgery on my next day off. It was like talking to my best friend, she knew exactly what I needed when I told her what was going on. Now I am cured and my life is so much better. Her staff is so nice and friendly, too.

I am 46 years old and Dr Murphy is the Best OBGYN I have every been to. She spent lots of time talking and listening to my concerns, She wanted to know what I thought first before she ave me her advice and diagnose and treatment ideas. She did not have a my way or the highway attitude at all. Her office is very nice and they did my sonogram right away for me so I wouldn't have to miss any more time from work either. I decided on the ablation after discussing all the options.

She got me right in when I had a fall on the ice this winter and I was worried about my baby. They were able to get amazing 3 d sonogram pictures for me. She scheduled my delivery on A weekend so my husband wouldn't have to miss work - she really listened to my needs and accommodated my family. So glad I found her.

Dr. Murphy definitely was not interested in answering my questions. She appeared exasperated by my worries about C-sections. I am changing doctors today at 36 weeks pregnant, because I don't have confidence and trust in her. I had mainly seen the NP during my pregnancy, and it was very late by the time I determined that she was not right for me. "Fake" and "indifferent" were two words used in other reviews with which I completely agree. The icing on the cake was Wednesday when she stuck the Strep B cotton swab in my rectum without telling me beforehand what she was going to do ... then left me sitting there half naked while she looked up the procedure about which I inquired. She has never quite seemed to muster up the ability to produce some emotion appearing like genuine caring. She has hinted that I am selfish for thinking of an external version and putting my baby in "trauma" when I could just have a C-section. If you are interested in surgery as a last resort during your… pregnancy, Dr. Murphy is not for you.

Dr Murphy was on call when I came through Emergency at Community East Hospital. She helped me with my infection and told me she could be my obstetrician even though I was in my eighth month and other doctors wouldn't take me. I was very far along. It was nice of her to be my doctor and her staff is friendly and good. They gave me vitamins when mine where nasty.

Dr. Murphy is an experienced clinician with exceptional bedside manner. I came to her for a second opinion after my current GYN wanted to do surgery. She genuinely cares about her patients. She takes extra time and makes sure all of her patients questions are answered. She respects her patients' opinions and is able to effectively incorporate patients' individualized goals into the care she provides. I chose injections over surgery and she helped me through. Her follow up and nurses and assistants are exceptional, and are extremely professional. I would highly recommend her to others, and I have been very satisfied with the care that I have received from her.

I went to the Emergency Room at midnight, I was scared and in severe pain. I had had my tubes tied 6 years ago. They said I was pregnant!! I freaked, she admitted me and took great care of me, she explained everything and I am home and fine. Thank Goodness. I feel well cared for, she retied my tubes and fixed my tubal pregnacy. I just saw this on discovery Health channel, so I know all about it.

Dr Murphy made me get a mammo even tho I was only 35, and then an MRI, even thou my insurance didnt want me to get it, she made them cover it since my mom had breast cancer young. They found a small tumor, thanks to her I am still around to be a mom to my 2 girls. Thank You!!!
