Dr. Michelle Renee Riley, DO

I found Dr. Riley to be distant and preoccupied during each of my 4 appointments with her. For example, after explaining my symptoms/concerns, my patient care summary later stated the exact opposite. The first time I saw her, she changed all of my meds, even taking me off of some and making others that needed to be kept at a constant level to be effective, PRN (as needed). The specialists that I was referred to asked why she did that. I could only shrug as she never explained her rationale to me. I've never had a problem with a doctor in the past but I never felt comfortable talking to her or asking her care related questions. In fact, I left each of my four appointments feeling like I was bothering her. I will be looking for a new doctor in the new year.

I was a patient of Dr. Riley and she knew I was bipolar and have occasional manic episodes. A month or so ago, I was having such an episode and was in desperate need of treatment. After exchanging several emails, rather than recognizing that I was having a manic episode - those emails were really out of character for me - over my health care treatment, rather than seeing that I got the treatment I needed, she refused to see me further.

Dr. Riley is very knowledgeable. She is kind and takes the time to listen to your concerns. She makes me feel very comfortable! She's the best doctor I have ever been to!

Such a kind, caring doctor. She gives you time to ask questions and takes the time to explain things.

She listened to all my concerns. I wasn't rushed. I didn't feel like just a number. She really seemed to care. She followed through very quickly in getting me an appointment with a reknowed specialist. Her me assistant is great, too. It was only my first visit - I've been looking for a more personal touch - but I think I'm really going to like her!
