Dr. Michelle Ann Scannapieco, MD

No Stars.. This physician if you can call her that, is non caring and does not get back to the patients relatives. She often will send her NP to visits the patients. You'll have to wrestle a report from her. My wife's parents were at Spring Village and the Britches in Newtown Pa.. Stay away from this so called Dr.

If you are looking for a non abrasive, compassionate MD., she is NOT for you. This MD discharged 95 year old stroke patient from hospital in order for patient to return to facility (paraphrase) that could give her an hour of physical therapy every day and not the 10 minutes she gets at the hospital. She yelled at family member to understand her medical opinion. Medicare overturned her discharge decision. Patient passed away 24 hours later. This MD is blunt to a fault, and did not explain or contact family after the death of an elderly loved one in her care.

When considering changing doctors because of a pending move, I made an appointment for a medical concern. Dr. Scannapieco was not available, but I was seen by her nurse practitioner. Not only was I given the medical attention needed, but received thoughtful answers to an underlying issue which proved invaluable.

Dr. Scan always listens to my mother's concerns and mine. I find her to be realistic, empathetic, and patient centered. I feel very lucky to have her as part of my mother's care team.
