Dr. Michelle P Warren, MD

I am located in NJ and have traveled to Dr. Warren for the past 12 years, relying on her medical expertise, evaluation, and treatment. She remains ahead of the curve and always uses pertinent research and her wealth of wisdom to keep me moving forward, healthy, happy, and no hot flashes!

I had seen many other doctors for a severe case of menopause related vaginitis. Many of those doctors couldn't even diagnose the problem. After 2+ years of fairly excruciating pain and heatbreaking lifestyle changes I finally found Dr. Warren. Within 2 months of treatment I was 80% back to normal and much happier in life. I do not find Dr. Warren gruff....I find her highly qualifed, a good listener, contemplative and quite frankly a miracle worker. I have gladly given up 'nice' doctors for my miracle worker.

The comments about Dr. Warren's expertise aren't really fair. She is gruff and has a poor bedside manner. She does make you feel like you are bothering her, but she does know her stuff. She doesn't try to sell you anything like most of the professionals claiming to be hormone experts. She is an expert in her field. I went to many so called experts before I found her. She has helped me quite a bit. I travel across the country to see her. She is one of the only legitimate MDs in the field. She does charge a lot because otherwise she couldn't make a living. She takes only a few patients. It is not a factory like most other places. They give you the forms to file for your own insurance. I suggest those who can deal with gruff and want a true professional to help you navigate the difficult time of menopause, to tolerate her bedside manner and get accurate professional care.

I went to this doctor thinking I had found one of the best for treating menopausal depression. I was very disappointed. She wasn't willing to think outside of the box and couldn't help me. I found relief from another doctor who was willing to seek out other solutions and have thankfully found the cause and effective treatment. She isn't "the best" for menopausal problems nor is she an expert in the area. Check out her recent publications and previous professional focus and you will see that she has not and is not involved in the latest research nor teaching in this area.

Dr Warren is rude, disinterested, cold and unfriendly. Her office is very dirty and disorganized and you have to wait for over an hour. She spends very little time with you and has someone else take your history so that when she finally sees you she knows nothing about you. Nor does she appear to care. She does not listen and does not like to answer questions. If you question her she gets nasty. She wants you to take various hormones in spite of any reservations or health problems that might make them dangerous to you. She does not offer alternatives as hormones are what she promotes. In follow up calls to her she had no idea who I was and could not answer questions because she did not look at my chart. I had a question about a hormone prescription and she said "ask the pharmacist." She sais that more than once. She is dismissive, rude and abrupt and would not answer questions. She does not work with you and does not give individualized attention. She only takes cash or check and… the initial visit is $495. I would not advise anyone to go there for any reason. Ever.

Staff were very professional as well as friendly. The doctor was easy to talk to and did a very thorough history and exam. I felt like I was in good hands. I've followed the advice regarding replacement hormones and feel much better-sleeping much better and all around i have seen health and wellness improvement. I would definitely recommend for women with serious menopause problems.

In response to the poor comments about Dr Warren's bedside manner, I can only say that I've seen her for many years. She's an outstanding diagnostician, she explains everything patiently, and she responds promptly to calls. She's not warm and fuzzy - that's not her style. But that's more than compensated for by how well she knows her business and how caring I know her to be.

We found the dr. to be uncaring and uninterested. She seemed overwhelmed by the problems and seemed to not want to help with any treatment options.
