Dr. Mick Kelly, MD

Dr. Mick Kelly is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip replacement, knee replacement, and adult joint reconstruction. As a partner at Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin in Pewaukee, he is committed to helping patients relieve pain, restore mobility, and return to the activities they love. He provides personalized treatment for hip arthritis, knee arthritis, sports-related injuries, and other conditions affecting the hip and knee, caring for patients from throughout Wisconsin.

A Wisconsin native from Neenah and former high school state tennis champion, Dr. Kelly graduated at the top of his class from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in Biology. Before medical school, he spent a year in Peru studying healthcare delivery, an experience that reinforced his commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where he was inducted into …the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received multiple awards for academic excellence and orthopedic research.

Dr. Kelly completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, one of the nation's premier orthopedic training programs. During residency, he was honored with the Chief Resident Teaching Award for his dedication to education, leadership, and patient care. He then completed advanced fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the University of Utah, gaining specialized expertise in primary and complex hip replacement, knee replacement, and revision joint replacement surgery.

Dr. Kelly believes that every patient deserves an individualized treatment plan. Whether conservative treatments or surgery are recommended, he works closely with each patient to explain their options and develop a plan that aligns with their goals and lifestyle. His practice emphasizes evidence-based care, advanced surgical techniques, and helping patients achieve a safe recovery with excellent long-term outcomes.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kelly enjoys spending time with his family and embracing Wisconsin's outdoor lifestyle through golf, skiing, tennis, running, hiking, and travel.
