Dr. Mickey Denen, MD

Dr. Denen was my doctor for many years - decades even. When I was a young adult, I asked him if he would recommend a psychologist who was LGBT friendly. His staff returned my call and informed me that he didn't know any, which is ridiculous! There are plenty...and there were plenty back in the early 2000s. I switched doctors immediately. He helped with my sinus infections and other basic stuff that family docs specialize in. But when I was trying to reach out for help (a simple referral) with my depression, he absolutely did not help.

My wife lost 45 lbs. and follows a stick diet to help her A1C, and still was criticized as being morbidly obese by Dr. Denen. He stated that she should weigh 105 lbs. My wife is a size 6 and has some muscles. No one is 105 lbs. unless they are in Junior High. As a result of this wellness exam, my wife is insulted, depressed and angry. This is negatively effective her motivation to be healthy. Dr. Denen should just retire and leave the profession to those better suited to medicine.

Dr. Denen and his staff are the absolute BEST! He is a compassionate person who cares about his patients. He listens and never rushes. He is empathetic and is open and has a responsive manner.He is very knowledgeable and has a warm attentive manner.

I have been a patient of Dr. Denen's for over 15 years. He is a thorough and knowledgeable doctor. He explains things completely, and listens to the patient as well. Never hurries through an appointment, though I know he is a busy guy. Has a great medical and office staff. I highly recommend Dr. Denen.

Dr. Denen has been our children's pediatrician for 5 years. I have recently moved and continue to drive across town to keep my children under his care. He has an excellent ability to connect with each of my three children at every stage. He has a soft heart for babies and he has given me so much life-saving advice in parenting! Afterall, he has raised 6 of his own! My favorite thing about Dr. Denen is that he doesn't medicate constantly like most pediatricians. When he prescribes a medicine for my children I know that it is absolutely necessary. I really trust him. The office staff is wonderful and know my kids by name. (We don't even go that often.) They always work to fit you into the schedule, never keep you waiting, and return medical assistant messages within a couple hours. A trustworthy pediatrician is absolutely essential when raising small children. Thank you, Dr. Denen!
