Dr. Miguel Enrique Fiol, MD

Dr. Fiol is both an excellent clinician and courteous, personable man. He has treated me for over 10 years for epilepsy. His diagnosis and treatment have been spot-on. He always takes my comments into consideration and fully explains his thoughts and treatment plan. I would not hesitate to recommend him to family or friends.

This doctor has absolutely no bedside manner. An appointment will feel like a criminal trial. You will likely feel like a specimen rather than an an individual. Your experiences will likely be discredited. Not recommended in any circumstance. It is this types of doctors who make you wonder why they are even seeing patients.

Dr. Fiol saved my life. I had a neurological condition that had been misdiagnosed by several doctors as a debilitating mental illness. Because of him, I lead a very normal life instead of needing 24/7 care in a home or hospital. He is hard to get an appointment with, but when he is in the room it is like you're his only patient.

Dr. Fiol is a very nice man but a VERY poor Neurologist in my opinion. He was not familiar with the type of Epilepsy that I suffered from, and when it came to my migraine history, disregarded everything I had told him in terms of family history. Once he saw pain medications on my list of medications, he was very biased and continued to blame my pain medications for my migraines - I have suffered from migraines since the age of eleven (I am now 35 years old), and I was not prescribed pain medication until my mid twenties - his EXACT words to me were "stop taking your Vicodin for one month and your migraines will go away". That sir is not acceptable treatment in my opinion. I left his office with no preventive treatment, and ended up in the ER days later with one of my migraine attacks. I now have treatment for my migraines and they have gone from chronic migraines to less than one a month. Would NOT recommend him to anyone with serious health issues.
