Dr. Miguel Angel Gomez III, MD

Dr Gomez has been nothing but thorough and compassionate. I put off vein treatment for many years and he made me feel comfortable having it done. I wish I would have seen him years ago and gotten ahead of the problem sooner. Better blood flow means less swelling, itching and discomfort at the end of the day. His staff is small but detail oriented and friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes for my appointments and I have had 5 so far.

I am a 72 year old grandfather who had approximately 94% carotid artery blockage. I was a high stroke risk. My carotid artery surgery was scheduled with Dr. Gomez on August 11 at 7:30 A.M at Methodist Hospital West Houston. During the morning preop process, IV's were impaled in both arms and a nerve block injected in my neck. At approximately 8:00 A.M., hospital staff notified me that my surgeon, Dr. Miguel A. Gomez III, could not be located and did not answer his phone. As hours passed in the preop area, with IV's in my arms, feeling the effect of the nerve block and unsure how my procedure could proceed due to Dr. Gomez's delinquent behavior, another surgeon was found who performed my surgery.I was in preop approximately 7 hrs.Dr. Gomez called me the following day. After discussion regarding his failure to perform his duties and his lack of responsibility to call me or hospital staff, Dr. Gomez stated 'It slipped my mind.' Terrible doctor, unfortunately he doesn’t care about his patients. I was treated by him and he never even called for a follow up. I had to contact the office and ask for the doctor to see me after the treatment. I had a sclerotherapy treatment that was a disaster. He did such a poor job and as the result my legs look a lot worse than before the treatment. He is not going to give you the opportunity to ask questions or to express your concerns because he is always in a hurry. It is a shame to have doctors like dr Gomez that doesn’t respect his patients at all. If you are looking for a good doctor who really cares about his patients and not about their money, so you will have to look for someone else. Dr, I gave you one star because CERO stars is not one of the options.

Dr. Gomez was borne to be a doctor, he is very direct and to the point. I have been under his care for year, I'm very pleased with the results. Hugh Langton

I had robotic heart surgery performed by Dr Gomez. The results were perfect. He’s not only a consummate surgeon, but also a very caring physician. I have total respect for him.

Dr Gomez performed a double by-pass and a maze on me. The Lord and Dr. Gomez saved my life. He is truly the BEST of the BEST. He cares. He is the doctor that everybody wishes to have. He is totally medically skilled, cares, listens and he worries about his patients. If anyone reading this is faced with vascular surgery don't walk to Dr. Gomez's office RUN. At 75 yrs of age I've seen the whole range of doctors - the good, the bad, the indifferent, the caring, the skilled, and the not so much. It has indeed been both a relief and a pleasure to find a rarity - a doctor who encompasses all the excellent traits I look for in a doctor. I found his staff reflected those same qualities from the young lady at the front desk to the nurse who tended me. Although my experience was handled in a most professional manner it also came across as warm, friendly, and caring. I would enthusiastically recommend Dr. Gomez to anyone in need of his skill set.
