This doctor prescribed a chlid PROZAC without even reviewing the blod test results. The office staff are a group of incompetent people. Not helpful at all. I will take my child to another doctor that cares about her not the money.

I've read a bunch of reviews of this doctor, and I think a large portion of those reviews depict this doctor in an unfair way. I work in the field of mental health, and a considerable amount of my graduate research pertained to the efficacy of various treatments for mental health issues. That being said, this doctor uses approaches in line with the most current research for optimal efficacy and long term prognosis. Basically, his approach is well supported academically to support the long term well being of the client. I most definitely felt uneasy about his age, and he most definitely doesn't have the best "bed side manner." If you are looking for a quick fix or "feel good experience", this is probably not the doctor for you. This doctor is not going to put a band aid on a gushing wound. The approach this doctor takes is backed up by substantial research for the best long term prognosis of the client. I've never had a psychiatrist request blood tests or take my vitals. This is… extremely rare in this profession and extremely important. He is not quick to prescribe pharmaceuticals, and he is absolutely right not to do so. Current research has not supported pharmaceuticals as the optimal treatment. Research does support CBT, and addressing the physical and other underlying issues for psychiatric problems. This doctor is an excellent choice if you actually want to get better. Unfortunately, his approach does not offer instant gratification. His approach is very nuanced and progressive. Because he is young, I suspect he is treating people in respect to the most current research. If you want a pill to make your problem go away, you are barking up the wrong tree. If you want to get better, he's the best shot I've seen in Florida. I think this doctor uses his medical background and understanding of current academic problems to address issues. If you're looking for a pill pusher don't go to this guy. And before you go to a pill pusher, I suggest you read some academic literature as to how well those pills actually work. I find the guy abrasive, but he knows what he is doing. I'd rather have a doctor that has poor bedside manner than a doctor with a pharmaceutical agency in his pocket. I think he is worth the money. I'd rather pay more now and take care of my issues than be paying some other doctor for the next 25 years.

Dr. Morales is not very impressive as a psychiatrist. I would never send anyone to him. He is about the money, and truly lacks the knowledge and intelligence one would expect from a medical doctor.

I've had great progress working with Dr. Morales over the last 16 months. He listens, he doesn't push meds and he's very knowledgeable. I've worked with alot of Doctors in the past and never experienced progress like I have with Dr . Morales. His fees are normal for a qualified and quality psychiatrist. I submit the claim to insurance and receive reimbursement ... The first appointment was a little tough to get, but he's been very accomodating since. He's even talked me through some tough times over the phone without an appointment.

Not great. Keep looking, you can do better.
