Dr. Mike Syru Chiang, MD

I have used Dr. Chiang for over 10 years and have found him to always be a no nonsense doctor that is excellent in his field of medicine. I am very happy to continue to use Dr. Chiang for all of my urology needs.

Dr Chiang might be soft spoken however I believe that is due to his not wanting to have other patients hear what is being discussed ... I’ve no problem with waiting to see a good doctor. I think if the waiting room is empty when you walk in to the dr office or the parking lot is empty it might be a hint that is not a doctor you want to see. Dr chiang always makes time for anyone who is unable to urinate, suffering a kidney stone or any other urinary emergency! I’ve also not experienced rudeness from nurses. There are times they are very very rushed which can come across cold because they are simply trying to get all of the patients needs taken care of. My Point is that Dr Chiang and the newest Dr Parker and both PA’s Brad and Dewayne...are always amazing and helpful and thorough and they are helped substantially during very long days on their feet by their clinical support staff. That is just my opinion from my visits there over the last several months.

The wait time in this office is ridiculous. The office hours are until 5 pm but if you have a late afternoon appointment don't expect to be seen before 6 pm. It seems to be the norm here as it has happened at every appointment and not one person working there seems as though it's anything unusual. Or apologetic about it. If you have an appointment for results the staff takes your blood pressure and they bill an office visit and collect your copay. Dr Chaing comes in more than 2 hours later to list possible treatment options. Then asks you come back the following week to sit in the waiting room for 3 more hours. They take your blood pressure and they ask only for your decision. Another copay Nothing is done at this appointment. If your decision is surgery and you are being referred to another Dr why can this not be done over the phone? Has any employee here ever stopped to listen to all the other patients sitting in the waiting room complaining? Too bad there are not… more Urologists in Valdosta. Perhaps this office would then care about patient satisfaction.

Long wait didn't answer my questions just prescribed drugs that I had allredy tred and didn't work. Waste of my time and money.
