Dr. Mike C Umerah, MD

I started seeing doctor umerah about a year ago and at 1st it was going good and then it was getting where everything that I did Was a mistake he was always putting me down for everything for example if I didn't come in with a smile on my face he would tell me next time I better come in with a smile or he would threaten to terminate my services if I come in smelling like smoke on me because my boyfriend smoke he would always tell me and accuse me of smokin and theathen me. every time that I walked out of his office he always had me crying he was always put me down are always complaining to me about something all the time if he would ask a question I would answer he would never listen to what I had to say or what was going on w me st that time BC that was not the answer he wanted. I had enough whenever I over heard him talking badly about me to another patient in front of my door a when I say something out loud that I could hear them he actually told me that I needed to close my ears… and not listen to what was that being said.After that I've had enough of it I'm not walking out of his office crying anymore I terminated my services with him and went with with Arkansas spine and pain

I've been going to him for about 6 months and every time i leave out of there his got me crying he talks to me like I'm a child and will not listen to one word i have to say i even caught him talking to one of his other patients about me in front of my door when waiting on him he broke the hippa law when talking about one of his patients to someone else ill never go back to him again

I used to be a patient of his. He just prescribes you medicine doesn't listen to you! I tried to explain to him that the medicine that he gave me made me to messed up during the day. I could not function on it! He said it will be ok just take as prescribed! Well I could only take it at night and had to suffer all day with pain. I don't recomend him.

Dr. Umerah is such a nice guy. I've heard a lot of stories that I question motives on about him being rude. My experience with him was wonderful. The wait time is a bit long but most pain management offices are. He took time to answer any questions I had as well as explained in full detail my condition. I was very please overall with the entire visit. I appreciate that he isn't rushed and spends time with each patient to get to know them and familiarize himself with their condition and lifestyle to make the best treatment plan possible for them. If you are considering Dr. Umerah I would say meet him and his staff before making a judgement. I'm glad I did. Be blessed.

DR UMERAH IS THE MOST PROFECONAL DR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO AND IVE BEEN TO SEVERAL HE SET ME UP WITH OTHER DOCTORS TO FIX EVERY PROBLEM I HAD HE SAVED MY LIFE TO BE HONEST I WOULD RECOMEND HIM TO EVERYONE IN NEED THANK YOU DR UMERAH

There is a post dated Nov 2016 regarding Dr. Umerah and his prescribing an outrageous amount of medication to include fentanyl with Percocet and XanaX. I personally know this is a lie because he will not prescribe XanaX at all., to anyone. I have been a patient since 2008 and though there are some long waits, overall my experience has been nothing but positive. pleasant. He is professional, learned and kind and once getting to know him you will find no better pain doctor. It disgusts me that people post blatant lies about Dr. Umerah. SEE HIM AND MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENTS.

Some question his knowledge but remember it would be nearly impossible to breeze through both medical school AND a specialist training. He is trained as an internal Med doc first then even more school so he had to know his stuff. Over all he cares for his patients and yes there are long wait times because it's a difficult if not the most difficult patient population to treat. You won't leave here in pain, if you go to another pain clinic you will wait just as long and have the pain covered up with meds and epidural procedures since they reimburse the most money.

I have been seeing him for 14 months & he has saved my life & treated my addiction. That said his license has now been suspended & I got no call to let me know this was happening so that I could find a new doctor before running out of my meds. I loved Dr Umerah before this. He seemed to do everything by the book, he Drug tested me as well he should the nurses counted my meds. I imagine this is happening due to the over prescribing of pain meds to his pain clinic patients., personally I know one of them who was being prescribed 120 fentynal patches 90 Percocets & Xanax. She would run out of those in a matter of weeks & then go purchase more on the street! It's people like this who have now left those of us who were seeing him for the right reasons high & dry! He was through & always took his time with every patient & even though the wait was long because we were all treated equally. I'm very upset to be losing him as my doctor.
