Dr. Mikhail Vaysberg, DO

First time to this doctor (Mikhail Vaysberg) and cannot say enough about this doctor. Timely, which is such a plus now-a-days. The exam and procedure I have had performed enough times in my life to know that he has the right touch! Patient, informative, great attitude, I could go on and on. I have to also include how handsome he is! But I digress. My visit was quick, but not too quick. No waiting, and waiting, and waiting as in other offices. He is personable, attentive, listens and discusses any of your concerns and does not have that 'I am doctor (god) complex' as so many others do have. I will recommend this doctor (ENT) highly. From now on he is the one I will go to for any ear, nose and throat issues I need checked out.

My wife had a n issue of great concern. Dr Vaysberg treated her with great skill, patience and kindness.

I could not have asked for a better doctor. I felt truly safe with this doctor handling my care and doing my surgery. He is the best of the best!

Mikhail Vaysberg, DO is a terrific surgeon and I went into me surgery with faith and trust in his abbilities. My thyroid was cancerous and I’m now doing great. I would recommend him to any of my family or friends.

Remarkable doctor. Saved my life and I am cancer free for 2 years now. Always came to see me in the room before surgery to see how I was and to assure me all was going to be good. And it was. I would recommend this Doctor to anyone in need of his services. Wonderful person.

Instead of being scarey - the app't was SO uplifting. He listened. He answered ALL our questions. He CARED about me and my husband, too. He explored with sonogram right there and then to determine his own independent opinions re: diagnosis. He consulted findings of others that were available and plentiful and recent. He reviewed options with us. I LIKE HIM and respect him and believe him. He's a great doctor. I highly recommend him. I left much uplifted, the app't did not take that long. He is a delight, and so smart yet so kind. He is more American than Russian. My husband liked him, too. So glad he was recommended to us.

DR VAYSBERG DID 4 SURGERIES ON ME IN 2011. HE SAYS THE LAST TWO WERE BECAUSE OF THE RADIATION TREATMENTS DAMAGING THE GOOD TISSUE IN THE AREA HE WAS WORKING WITH, BUT MY MAIN COMPLAINT IS WITH THE FOLLOW VISIT . APPARENTLY HE DOESN'T KNOW JACK BOUT ANYTHING BELOW THE NEXT. I TOLD HIM ABOUT THE COMPLICATIONS I WAS HAVING WITH MY LUNGS BACK IN DECEMBER. IT WAS LIKE HE IGNORED ANYTHING I SAID. TO START WITH HE DIDN'T FEEL MY NEXT TO SEE IF ANY LYMPH NODES HAD ENLARGED AGAIN. ALL HE WAS INTERESTED IN WAS TELLING THAT PRETTY LITTLE INTERN WHAT HE DONE TO ME. WASN'T IN THERE 5 MINS. SO SINCE HE IGNORED ME I WENT BACK TO MY CHEMO DR, AND HE ORDERED A PET SCAN. LONG STORY SHORT. I HAVE CANCER IN MY RIGHT LUNG IN THE AIRWAY LEADING TO THE LOWER LOBE WHICH IS COLLAPSED. HE COULD HAVE AT LEAST MADE A SUGGESTION OR SOMETHING SO HERE I AM 2 MONTHS LATER JUST FINDING THIS OUT NEEDLESS TO SAY I CANCELLED ANY FURTHER VISTS.

My wife had a large cancer tumor in her upper neck/jaw area that Vaysberg removed. It was a long complicated operation. She was in surgery for almost 8 hours and was his second operation of the day.Even though he had a long 12 hour workday, Vaysberg came down to the waiting room to brief me and my daughter on my wife's status.I expected to be briefed by a nurse or an aide and was surprised to have the surgeon himself be so courteous after a long day.Her tumor had grown so large because she was only getting charity care in Jacksonville and they misdiagnosed it as swollen glands and they told her that they would do a MIR 3 month later if it still was a problem! By the time Vaysberg cut it out in surgery at Shands Gainesville, it was huge and causing her intense pain.The surgery was a complete success. It was done 3 years ago and except for side effects from the followup radiation treatments and some unavoidable localized nerve damage, she has recovered well.I give Vaseberg 4 stars not… only for his expert analysis, surgery, and real concern for his patient, but for his frank discussion prior to the surgery of the real dangers and complications of the surgery. He warned us about some unavoidable nerve damage that would occur from removing such a huge tumor and even said that he might have to break her jaw to get it all out. He didnt try to sugarcoat it. The man was all business. He is a real dedicated professional!

The first time we met Dr. Vasberg,was on a follow up visit after my husband had gone through an extensive 8 hour surgery. I wasn't allowed to see my spouse until the next day. Dr. Sawhney, in ENT and facial plastics, was super. Dr. Vasburg, didn't visit in SICU at the North Tower. On our first f/u, Dr. Vasburg came in and, and said you are cancer free, but you need radiation. My spouse chose not to take treatments, because it was explained to us by our local Primary care physician, and DR Sawnhey agreed. We were asked, what does a Primary care Internal Medicine physician know? Dr. Vasburg's attitude was frustrating. He, came across as it would either be his way or else. My spouse,left Shands with mixed emotions. That day he walked into the building to the office and was so weak. He has a Temorary feeding tube, and when Dr. Vasberg left the office with a look of disgust, and then stuck his head back in the door and spoke to the nurse and said, just go ahead and put him back on his… regular diet. He knew that i was grinding medication's to put through the, tube along with the formula. With that being the first time we had seen the doctor in person, we were not impressed at all. As for myself, i never want him touching my spouse again.The staff in the office are very nice. I need not say more at this time but more to follow, later with with others. We are very easy going, and i will never be treated this way again. We just had a bad experience. Dr. Sawhney, and also DR. Antonelli, in ENT and facial plastic's were great.
