Dr. Miki Rene Joy, MD

After being in in a bad accident 8 years ago, I went to urgent care care. I was having bad pain in Mr temples, as soon as I gave my symptoms, Dr Joy knew what was wrong and prescribed Prednisone. It seemed I had Polymyalgia and temporal arteritas. If I had not been diagnosed I could have gone blind. Thank you so much for saving my life

Dr Joy is the best. I love the fact that he remembers every concern i may have had from previous visits, and takes the time to research and give me a good answer the next visit. He has been taking care of me for the past 5 months, have been seeing him every 2 weeks, so far i have no complaints about him. And to be honest, i don’t know why there are bad reviews on him. I think he is pretty funny. Makes me feel comfortable (:

Dr Joy walked into my room with barely a nod, and gruffly asked me what the problem was. I explained in full detail and based on the info I supplied him, he told me I should get another job given the fact that I tend to exacerbate a bad back while at work. I told him that is not an option given that I am an educator of marine conservation and biology...the unbelieving once-over I received from him after that statement was utterly cruel. He made me bend backwards, forwards (staring me up and down), grabbed my knees far too roughly, and touched me inappropriately. I left the office in tears. When the nurse sent me away and saw my face, the first thing she said was, "Oh no...was he mean to you?". I doubt my experience is a first. This man is horrible. I don't want any other women to experience what I did...he was patronizing, malicious, and the very epitome of what a healer should NOT BE.
