Dr. Miltiadis Kostas Kerdemelidis, MD

literally a terrible doctor. he’s ignorant and arrogant. i will never go back to advent health as long as he’s working there. he doesn’t care about his patients and has zero interest in actually helping solve any problems. he’s combative and confrontational, he will invalidate your feelings. worst “doctor” i’ve encountered

I unfortunately had to take my mother to the ER. On our visit we were seen by Dr. K a student doctor at Advent Health. While the wait was extremely long Dr. K and the staff were very friendly and checked in on us multiple times. I was very happy with the care we received by our doctor and the staff.

I was a patient who have sickle cell and has dealt with sickle cell type pain for 30 years. After I informed Dr. Kerdemelidis that the pain meds that was provided was not enough and that I needed to be admitted. He refused to listen to his patient and as a result. I ended up being admitted into another hospital. This Doctor has preconceived notices about his patients and that type of negligence will be detrimental to his future patients

My son saw Dr. K on the emergency room recently for severe abdominal pain. We have a family history of gallstones and kidney stones, and were concerned that my son might be experiencing complications from one of these sources, even though he is in his late teens. Dr. K was seemed very unconcerned about my son’s situation and level of pain, and made it quite obvious that he didn’t think it was anything serious. He only ordered blood work, which came back normal, and only ordered a CT scan when I insisted that we do further testing to determine the source of my son’s pain. When the CT came back normal, the doctor said it was probably just a digestive disturbance, and sent us home. The pain continued, and worsened over the next 2 days, so we went to an urgent care facility since Dr. K had not been willing to investigate further. The urgent care group immediately did an ultrasound, and found that my son had a severely inflamed gallbladder, full of stones, that needed to be removed… immediately. When we told them that he had a CT in the emergency room two days earlier, they said they couldn’t believe that the ER doctor hadn’t ordered an ultrasound to rule out gallbladder complications (as they don’t always show up on CT scans). When my son was transferred then, by ambulance, to the hospital for surgery, the healthcare providers (including the surgeon), were also surprised that the ER doctor had not ordered an ultrasound. I had to almost argue with Dr. Kerdemelidis to even get a CT scan for my son, and because he already had his mind made up about the cause of my son’s distress, he sent us home with an undiagnosed, dangerous gallbladder situation, and has no business practicing emergency medicine if he can’t even order basic diagnostic tests and interact with patients and their families without presenting an arrogant and blasé attitude. Avoid this doctor if at all possible. Fortunately, I was there to advocate for my son, and to take him to another facility for proper diagnosis and treatment. I would be afraid of what would happen if a patient came in to the ER and was treated by Dr. K if they were unable to advocate for themselves, or to go elsewhere for adequate treatment. Very poor experience with Dr. Kerdemelidis!
