Dr. Milton Neil Kondiles, MD

If you are considering having surgery with Dr. Milton Kondiles, I strongly advise getting a 2nd and even 3rd opinion, which I eventually did. I had surgery with Dr. Kondiles and we discussed a treatment of care which he did not follow and performed a different type of surgery without my knowledge since on was under anesthesia. I was still in pain after four months of recovery and his suggestion was more surgery under the same scar which has not healing properly and I usually heal well with scars. He blamed my shoes but to this date I cannot wear a hard shoe. My 2nd and 3rd advised no more surgery there was too much trauma to the area and scar tissue build up from not moving the area which should have been instructed and no more cortisone shots my skin on my foot was debilitated. I now must go to physical therapy to learn how to move my foot again. I felt more of a patient with the other doctors than this one. He kept reminding me of his 42 years’ experience and at this point he felt… more like an employee than a doctor.

I been here for my foot issue. This office knows how to charges for every little things from insurance. Issue is to get extra money from insurance, they make you responsible for small amount not covered/approved by insurance. My one day visit for visits, X-ray, and custom foot arch insole had a total billing of over 1,900. Where insurance paid 1,300 and I paid 235. So for insole cost we paid 1,535 but still they want to go after another 80 dollars. So total of 1,615 for custom insole, which suppose to be for full foot but I received only 3/4 size is completely a rip off. At handover insole from doctor I complain that it is not full foot one which you had measured for. Doctor said try it and you will get use to with but if you can’t then let me know we will change to the full size. Also, office charge me for another visits and fitting service for handing over insole in my hand. It’s been 7-8 weeks but 3/4 insole is uncomfortable and I can’t get use to. So, When I called to talk to… doctor about it they asking me to come to the office with appointment so they can charge for another appointment is kind of trying to get more money from insurance and clients. It’s their unethical practice of getting most and more out of patient is not right thing. I called another office to gauge their cost and that office said if I pay upfront then total charges of 675 will get me custom insole. So I suggest go to different doctor office and ask before how they charge and what will be our most responsibility. AVIOD going to this office, their office manager will never allow you to talk to doctors with out visits.

Really helped my foot pain

I do not like leaving negative reviews and do it rarely. In this case, I have no other option. Dr. Kondiles treated me professionally and the orthotics fit fine. When I asked him how long the custom orthotics would last he told me they were permanent. I asked for clarification. He assured me they would last my lifetime. Three years later, they are falling apart. I contacted the office. I did not ask for a refund. I simply asked to order another pair, a pair that I would pay for. They told me they could not for they had switched providers. I told them that was an illogical answer. My feet measurements were the same and do not change based on the company that furnishes the orthotics. They then told me it was against office policy. I asked them if they wanted to lose a customer. They told me they were a health care provider. I told them they were a for-profit health care provider who was being unfair and illogical. They offered to schedule me for another consultation and then they… would order the orthotics. From my perspective they simply wanted me to pay for another doctor's visit, and one that was entirely unnecessary. At this point, I will obviously have to, but I am not going to reward an illogical, unfair practice with my continued business. I'm sorry to leave a review like this. It goes against my grain. But when I meet with exceptionally bad customer service - and that is what I am, a paying customer - I feel like others who are considering becoming customers should at least be aware of it.

Dr. Kondiles is a wonderful podiatrist. I always have a good out come when I visit him. And his office staff is also exceptional. I always enjoy going to see all of them, they are the most friendly Doctor and staff I have ever been to.
