Dr. Milton David Squiers, MD

I have three children and have seen many different pediatricians. Thankful to have finally found one that listens and respects my opinion. He allows plenty of time for questions and I always leave him feeling informed and confident with the care my children have received. My three kids are very comfortable with him and aren't ever scared to see him. We have been with him for about 5 years now.

We have been using Dr Squiers for 3 years, since my daughter was born. Every time we go in, I appreciate the time he takes with us and his gentle hands with our child.

I took my two children (one is 1, the other is 3) to see him when they were both ill. Our regular Dr. was out. They both had coughs that had settled into their chest, and were prescribed antibiotics. When I went to give my children their medicine, I discovered that the youngest was to be given 3 times the amount that my oldest was to be given! I knew this was an honest mistake, and that their names had been mixed up, but didn't give either of them the medicine. I called the pharmacy first, and they verified the names and the amounts. I then called the office. NOBODY would admit the mistake. The nurse I spoke with said she couldn't say, and she went and spoke w/ Dr. Squiers. She returned and said that they couldn't determine they had written anything incorrectly, said they didn't want to tell me if I should give them the amounts on the bottle or not, and that I should come back and have my kids re-examined. I understand people are edgy about malpractice suits, but this was an… innocent mistake, and I just wanted confirmation that these were the incorrect amounts. What if I hadn't noticed? What if the medicine had been a dangerous one instead of penicillin? I'll never go back to them again. My kid's lives and health are more important than saving face. They should have owned up to the mistake.
