Dr. Milton Jacob Wright, DO

You will either love him or hate him, depending upon what your expectations are on what a Doctor should be. He is caring, comforting, personal, and does shake your hand or gives out hugs. If you want someone who is cold, uncaring, and only spends two minutes with you if at all, and pawns you off on his Nurse or P.A., then Dr. Wright is not for you. He spends easily 30 minutes with you and listens to what you have to say and for someone who has over 2,500 patients, remembers me by name and what I am there for even before looking at my chart. If you want Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare or Marcus Welby as a Doctor, then Dr, Wright is the "Right" choice for you! Unfortunately he is moving out of State, so it will be almost impossible to find another one like him in this day and age!

Dr Wright is a kind caring DR! He has cared for my family for several years. His quick action with my husband identified a rare cancer for my husbands age. While my husbands cancer wasn't curable if he hadn't sent my husband to a specialist he would have died within weeks rather than the year and a half we had. Dr Wright treats his patients like family and you are never rushed out of his office. He takes the same care with each patient and yes sometimes you have to wait but I'd rather have a thorough Dr than one that rushes through appointments to make more money. On many occasions I have witnessed him working through his lunch to accommodate patients. If you are not comfortable with your Dr touching you, you clearly need a new Dr. Scrubs are actually appropriate attire for a Dr to maintain hygiene. I don't like going to Dr's in suits they wear to and from work. Bottom line he is the man if you want a thorough caring physician that treats you like family.

Always late, even for the first appointment of the day. Receptionist is incompetent. I couldn't even get her to send me my lab reports. I had to contact the lab instead and they asked me why I didn't get them from my doctor. Hmm...because he's not my doctor anymore! He never seemed to know who I was and even though I waited for at least a half hour to get into an appointment, he was not prepared with my medical profile. He often complained about having too many patients or the unfortunate position he was in as a doctor. Sorry, but I'm not paying someone to hear THEIR complaints! When he went on vacation there was no back-up. If he was sick there was no back-up. I can't be calling 911 just because I need to see a PCP. I'm getting another doctor instead!

As a patient with a small family my son (who loves Dr. Wright), showed me this web site. As I read the reviews I want to share with you my experience of Dr Wright and his staff. I'm not the best at typing so please forgive the mistakes. The day I lost my job and had to move out of our home that weekend I had an appointment with Dr. Wright. I did not have the courage to tell my wife about my job as I drove to see Dr. Wright. He sat there and listended for about thirty minutes without asking questions. With tears in his eyes as he choked up feeling my pain he hugged me (yes... he hugs... and if you think that is unprofessional... go see someone else who only cares about your co pay!). He took care of me! Sure he refilled my medications and all. I received a call from him 48 hours later in the middle of the night... he said he couldn't sleep and was up worried about me and my family. The next day I had employment - not the best of work but work! I hope he doesn't read these entries… people write but he quietly deeded over his old camp trailer that needed work and found a place for me to park it and this has provided roof over my family's head. He doesn't talk about it. He just smiles and hugs my family and I. I have only seen him maybe three times. Yes... he wears scrubs (to the jerk out there who thinks he dresses unprofessional!), but for your information he does surgeries too in the office... and yes he does house calls too! So if you have to wait a bit to see him I'm ok with this because I know he will not let you go without truely carring for you. God Bless you Dr. Wright.

Dr. Wright has the most amazing bedside manner. Being a medical professional myself, I truly understand how important this is. He takes a genuine interest in his patients as people not just a diagnosis. My 5 yr old child LOVES to visit the doctor now. He makes each patient feel as though they are his only patient. I moved from Phoenix to Prescott and still drive all the way to see him, I wouldn't trust my family's or my health to anyone else. If you are looking for a doctor who is more interested in you than what they can make off of you then look no more. He is intelligent, caring, thorough but most importantly he takes his time and really listens to your concerns. I never feel as though my questions aren't answered. I could move to Florida and still wouldn't give my doctor up!!!

I have had so many issues with my health and I admit I can be quite demanding. The way Jenifer the office manager has always made every attempt to get what I need done and is so pleasant to work with. She is always smiling and always willing to help and get things done as quickley as she can. She has made dealing with my demanding health issues much more tolerable. The Dr. is very sweet and really takes his time with me. He does hug his patients and that makes me feel very at home. I'm not sure why the person in a previous review would have said the office manager is rude. I don't think Jenifer could be rude if she wanted to. They must have been dealing with someone else or it is a previous employee that is upset. I love that office and have been several times and every time has been wonderful, helpful, and very pleasant. Dr. Wright is a great physician with a wonderful office manager.

Everything is ok with this doctor except they don't seem to care how long you have to wait.My time is just as important as their time. Even having the first appt. after lunch you still have to wait which is just plain ridiculous.Every time I have went to this dr. I have had to wait.Eventually people will find another doctor if they are continually neglected in this area. One time when I was leaving there was a room full of people waiting for who knows how long.

If you like WAITING all the time go see this dr. The office on pinnacle is not even back from lunch on time & as a patient I had to wait for them. Puts things on the diagnosis that you did not say & leaves out the important things you did say. He wears hosptial scrubs which is too lax & shows lack of professionalism & laziness. He hugs his patients. I don't want my dr. to cross the line & touch me & enter to my space which makes me feel UNCOMFORTABLE.Stop making your patients wait on YOU. You get paid a ton of money so BE A PROFESSIONAL so be on time & don't touch your patients by hugging them & don't shake their hand unless they approach you. It made me feel so UNCOMFORTABLE.
