Dr. Mina Shabnam Lee, MD

Do NOT see this urologist. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor and put me into full blown white coat syndrome. She was frustrated with me every single visit. I think I saw her 2-3 times. I went into her office (mid 20s) now I am in my late 20s and my age was constantly being brought up with the “too young” to be there mentality. I saw her because I was peeing 20 times a day with extreme bladder pressure. It was VERY hard for me to be there as I sat and saw older people around me in the waiting room. The urodynamics was borderline bullying and I wished I talked to someone before I left. I cried as my bladder filled and she rolls her eyes and says “ I told you I was going to push you. You shouldn’t be crying. You are able to hold more in the logs you showed me “ I was crying because I was in pain and I told her this. She said “ if you are In pain then there is no way we can to the cystoscopy if this is painful “ .. I’m sorry. But if it’s painful doesn’t that… mean a cystoscopy should be performed!?!? Shouldn’t that be a RED flag !? Here I am years later diagnosed with IC and endo of the bladder - something she just couldn’t help with me because she just thought I was a young girl that anxiously peed too much. She was so rude, condescending, and I don’t recommend her to any young female.

It sickens me that this woman hasn’t been fired for being as rude as she is. I saw her last year (25 years old) for urinary frequency and she kept commenting on my age and how I was “too young to be there”, making me feel like it’s all in my head. She’s way more into her looks than she is her patients. She performed urodynamics on me, I started to cry because I was uncomfortable and in pain and she gives me this dirty look and says “why are you crying you shouldn’t be crying”. My biggest regret was leaving that office and never talking to anyone about how she made me feel after the 3 visits I had with her. Very condescending and very cold.

I saw Dr. Krishnamurthy 3 years ago at the Aurora office. She was the rudest and least caring doctor I have ever come across. When inserting a catheter,I began to tear. (It was my first one and I was 18). She told me, "It doesn't hurt, you're okay." She then gave me medicine and told me to try it out, and see how it goes, then come back in 1 month. Well, she only gave me a two week supply of medicine. When I came back she said how is the medicine working and I said I didn't notice a difference those two weeks and she told me I was supposed to have it for the two weeks the call to refilled, and since I hadn't followed directions, she couldn't help me that day. Apparently I should have known that. She told me to get the medicine, take it for a month and come back...I will NEVER go back.

This doctor was impatient and not empathetic at all, even when I was in pain after surgery. She seemed to be very unhappy with other people around her--not sure if it was because she was generally unhappy with the practice or what. She made me feel ashamed for feeling pain after surgery.

Dr krishnamurthy did not listen to me at all. The first time I met her she spent two minutes talking to me, asked one question and then cut me off. She proceded with her test, which caused me severe pain and then left the room. I caught up with her in the hall and she said she couldn't treat me until several more tests taking WEEKS. I desparately needed help right then. This doctor's bad attituded was only surpassed by her high and mighty ego. I was extremely disappointed.
