Dr. Mina Oza, MD

I don't even know where to start....doctor Oza nearly ruined my life.. Its been 7 months and I'm still recovering. To keep it as short as possible...I will start by saying I was very open and honest with my doctor. I know once in my past I tapered off my medications being nieve, young and dumb thinking I didn't need them. She told me its actually not to uncommon.. And trust me I learned my lesson. Also, i told her to go slow with me as I'm one of the unfortunate ones who is ultra sensitive to medications. Before i knew it, I was like a science experiment with so much she added and subtracted to my system I didn't even know what was working, What wasn't, or knew what was going on with my body. I came to her a few times in tears, and she started becoming very rude and cold, telling me I can't just "show up" without an appointment, etc. I felt so uneasy and ashamed even opening up to her anymore. . and honestly you shouldn't feel that way with your doctor. Not only that, but because alot… of medications were failing even weeks after trying, we got a genesight test done by her request.I ended up in her office, skin on fire, tremors, fever, severe weight loss, puking, heart palpitations..and the list goes on. I never felt so ill in my entire life. Clearly I nothing short of what seemed to be serotonin syndrome. I tried showing her my genesight test I brought with me, because I had questions. I did my research on meds that highly interact with one another and there were already 2 diff meds in my system that stated heavy interactions. She told me to get the papers out of her face..and throw them in the garbage!.. That I didn't know, and the test didnt know anything because SHES the one with the degree. I never felt so helpless, scared, upset or sick, EVER. I literally was in her chair...with my face in my hands in desperate need and she assured me she wasn't my mother, or my therapist, or confidant and I was crazy to feel all these things and in within 10 mins had me bakeracted because she didn't want to "deal with me". I'll never forget this moment, it was one of the worst days of my entire life. Best of luck to anybody out there fighting the good fight, and for the love of GOD do NOT go to Doctor Oza! Save your health and your sanity because she nearly cost me my life! I'm not saying it lightly when I contemplated ending my life feeling like there's no way out of this, and I still keep fighting everyday! Since then I've foumd a new doctor and NEVER been happier! I'm going to start off by saying, if you see Dct.Oza, run fast. She has ruined nearly a year of my life and I'm barely recovering. I've been on medication since 2005 for anxiety and panic disorder, and ive NEVER had much issues with any doctor. I will admit in the past that I may have tapered off medication without dcts consent at a slower pace knowing how sensitive my body is to meds. I was young and nieve and I'm sure at one point or another, i took the medication that was working for me for granted. I was very clear and honest with my doctor, and she assured me to go at a slower pace with trying diff combos to see what can treat my disorder..and before I knew it I was on several medications at once, being ripped off ones far to quickly, etc. I didn't even know what was working for me or against me anymore. She started becoming very rude and inpatient with me. Its not uncommon to have to go through different things to see what works, but I felt like a science experiment. She then… ordered me a genesight test STRICTLY to know what may work, and which ones were bad for my system. I noticed i started becoming severely ill unlike I've never been before and was in and out of her office in tears from pain. I did research and read up that several of the meds in my system (even though I was following her orders) highly interacted with one another. Possibly 2 meds she had me taking. The last time I showed in her office, i was in a fullblown panic attack, skin on fire, fever, tremors, throwing up liquid with no appetite,heart palpitations..among other things. She complained about seeing me..told me she didn't want to "deal" with me in the state I was in..i "didn't have an appointment". She was insensitive, unprofessional, disgusted with my knowledge of finding out my medications were clashing and told me to get my genesight papers out of her face! She urged me to throw them in the garbage and said the test doesn't know what its talking about..and neither did I..and SHES' the doctor. Minutes after, she immediately had me bakeracted. She told me I was crazy with what i was feeling and needed to control myself. I will NEVER forget this moment as long as I live. I've never felt so helpless, scared, or disregarded in my life! I will NEVER go back to this place and its taken me months and months to recover and I'm STILL going through it. Please for the love of god, do yourself a favor and never waste your time.You may find yourself in and out of the hospital praying for your life. Wish you the best of luck!

Just a drug dealer -- never spent 5 minutes with me, but prescribed drugs which ruined my life for 10 years. Put on 40 pounds within a month, that was an added curse.

My son saw her years ago for panic attacks and she was very helpful in helping him, she was kind, gentle, and knew how to bring out the issues that were causing him his distress. My ex had a personality disorder and it pains me years later to discover what took place when I was away on business. Years later he has recovered from her, but Dr Oza was his first lifeline and his initial hope and help. I am grateful to her for her adroit assistance.

Dr. Oza is the best doctor I have ever had. She cares and listens and doesn't just shove prescriptions in your face. Unfortunately though, she is not accepting new patients and is moving out of the area. I will miss her and all that she has done.

I like her. The wait was ok, she was on time. My son is doing much better with her than his last physician. She is caring and that's what we were looking for, we are happy. Thanks Dr. O.....

My time is as valuable as the next persons, and although being kept waiting is a terrible thing- the Doctor is great. She knows how to diagnose and how to titrate meds.She is an awesome child psychiatrist and I am considering moving from my current adult psych to her- even though she is an hour from our home. (Shes that good) : )

I was very satisfied as I left the office. Melissa the office secretary was good too. Good Dr. I dont know why there are mean reviews. I guess some of us need to be more positive in life. ;)

Except the wait time for dr oza she s wonderful and a great carign person.
