Dr. Minal Gunvantray Mehta, MD

This Dr has no bedside manner whatsoever. Maybe when she is having a bad day she doesn't care about her patients. Perhaps she shouldn't have her office book so many appointments then treat her patients like cows. She literally spent 4 minutes seeing me, didn't allow for any questions and rushed out the door after dropping me a brochure about the Essure procedure I was there to inquire. She literally told me the office would schedule the procedure but didn't even explain anything else. On top of that, the office failed to call me about the procedure. I had left several messages to the office manager but never received a call back. When I finally reached someone else than the answering machine at the office, they told me the surgery was cancelled because I failed to confirm with them!!! I ran, ran to find another DR and a staff with better professionalism and care and bedside manner...my dog receives better care at his VET!

I was 5 weeks with spotting at the time I saw Dr. Mehta. No heavy bleeding, no cramp, and hcg level doubled over couple of days (on track). I got another ultrasound at around 5w3d. She couldn't find the heartbeat and told me that I had miscarriage and suggested D&C. Found myself devastated accompanied by reading material about D&C, almost scheduled one for the next day. Went back to see my OBG that handled my first pregnancy 5 days after and she was able to see the heartbeat and further confirmed by the imaging center. The reason why Dr. Mehta couldn't find the heartbeat was simply because the pregnancy was too early. If I didn't go for a second opinion, this baby in me wouldn't have a chance to grow.

This is my first baby, very excited. First of all, the appoinment availability is awful.I had my first doc visit and was disappointed. When I arrived, the receptionist were unfriendly. The medical assitant could not find my vein, attempted to draw blood 3x then asked for help. My arm was bruised. I finally met the doctor and she seemed distant and rushed. She made me feel like I had too many questions. She didn't have explanaions to her answers. An example why she could not hear a heartbeat at 8 weeks. She asked I return in 4 weeks and if i felt ill to go to ER! I felt very disappointed with the lack of professionalism. I will be looking for a new doctor.
