Dr. Mindy Kwan, MD

The worst doc experience ever. She is pushy and she doesn't care about her patient at all. She did not ask for my consent before the exams and I got inappropriate exams (later another doc told me) and I got billed for those. I would not recommend her at all.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid Dr. Mindy Kwan. She seems knowledgable enough but is one of the rudest, coldest people I've ever met. I'd think to be an OB/GYN you'd have to have a bit of compassion as you're dealing with very sensitive women's issues...I've honestly never written a review on here but just felt I had to share my horrible experience to save anyone looking for a new doctor from wasting time and money. What an unnecessary frustration!

Easy to get an appointment and the wait wasn't bad but Dr. Kwan herself is cold, unkind, patronizing and unsympathetic. Isn't the doctor the most important part of the experience? I suffered two miscarriages and when I cried at a follow up appointment she looked confused and said "are you devastated or something?" - when I became pregnant again and was nervous in the beginning she very coldly told me "it's gonna be a long 9 months if you act like this." My new doctor is such a vast improvement - actually human.

SHE IS UNCARING. SHE ORDERED MORE TEST THAT I DID NOT ASK FOR OUT OF SPITE SO I WOULD PAY MORE. SHE KNEW I DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE TO PAY THAT'S HOW EVIL SHE IS.

The waiting time for an appointment was excellent, the wait in the office was average, Dr. Kwan seems to be well read and knowledgeable about her specialty, but I didn't feel any warmth or compassion. Maybe it was just an off day. I will give her one more chance before moving on.

She is a wonderful doctor! She is easy to talk to and makes her patients feel very comfortable during there visit. She is very up to date with technology and definitely takes the time to explain things to you. A+ in my book! =)

I will never recommend this doctor. She is always rushing, doesn't have the time to answer to questions or explain important details. I also found the nurses incompetent and rude.

Dr. Mindy Kwan is the worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. She did not show any interest in my health or well being over the 2+ years and 10+ visits I had at her practice. Dr. Kwan refused to share any test results with me over the phone, which meant 2-3 times the number of trips to the OBGYN than I have made any where else (and more $$ from my co-pays for her). It is obvious by her uncaring demeanor and frequent over-charging that she is in this profession for financial gain. The last straw was when she played up my recent test results and tried to get me to come in every 4 months rather than twice/year. I saught a second and third opinion and both other doctors agreed that she was a fraud and I only needed to have my annual physical (no follow ups needed).

I've moved a lot since I was 16 years old (I'm 28 now) so Dr. Kwan is probably my sixth ob-gyn. Although the wait time could be shorter, it does seem later on that she likes spending time with her patients. She answers your questions without any judgment, even the obvious ones. I definitely am not looking for a seventh doctor as long as I live and work in NYC.

I visited several other OB/GYN's before coming to see Dr. Kwan. From my experience, she is one of the most knowledgeable doctors in the area. Some of the things that other doctors said to me were "way out there", whereas Dr. Kwan just made sense. She is very logical in her approach to problems, and gave me an accurate diagnosis. She spends ample time with her patients, and makes me feel as if I'm her only patient when in the examination room. I would highly recommend Dr. Kwan.
